Here's a mono-blue Taniwha deck, centered on the phasing mechanic. Use Taniwha's huge self to win with commander damage, using things like Sunder to bring the game to a standstill (tapping your lands in response to the Taniwha trigger) on your upkeep, then swing for 7. When your creatures are phased out, use other boardwipes, like Coastal Breach, to maintain board presence when you can't remove your own creatures.

Notable Cards:

  1. If you have the mana for it, Worldslayer is entertaining.
  2. Include a copy of Portcullis in every deck.
  3. Shimmer can be really, really annoying to opponents.
