Here's my thoughts behind my choices,
Instants/Sorceries
Fiery Temper Did you ever just want MORE lightning bolt? I did, and combined with our discard spell this will always be lightning bolt except in the most desperate of situations.
Just the Wind Same reasons as far, with madness modification. Madness is just so sweet!
Lightning Axe Don't you hate it when someone pulls out a Tarmogoyf or a Gurmag Angler and you can't shoot it with lightning bolt? Well never fear the shit can now die for the cheap lower price of and a madness spell (or maybe an extra land worse case scenario)
Mana Leak It's Mana Leak yep.
Lightning Bolt double yep.
Kolaghan's Command TALK about versitility. This card literally does everything we want it to do. We can make our opponents discard a card, we can make ourselves discard a card. We can return a creature to our hand, smash an artifact, or shock something? Oh did I mention! PICK TWO swoon
Faithless Looting Whoowee. Got extra land? Faithless Looting. Need to cast a madness spell? Faithless Looting. Need a different answer? Faithless Looting. Nothing to do? Faithless Looting Flashback! What can this spell not do? Make you a sandwich, which I am working on in my next deck.
Creatures
Bedlam Reveler Oh man this guy is a house, most of the time this gent is a activate a madness card and draw three. He's so good, and yet he's even more pushed because he has to have prowess. drool
Big Game Hunter This guy kills most pretty much anything that my lightning bolts and fiery tempers can't. He can crew smugglers copter and give me some lovely recusion with Just the Wind
Dragonmaster Outcast I can not tell you the number of games I can will by bleeding out my opponents to just drop this guy counter their removal and soar to victory on the back of dragons. I would probably remove these guys to the sideboard if I let my home meta.
Judge's Familiar This little beauty does three things. Fly, slow down the opponent and fly...COPTERS. INC BIRD PIOLET!
Vexing Sphinx Man is this card bad...like REALLY bad; Except in this deck, it's god damn beautiful. It is a 4/4 with flying which adds some serious pressure to the enemy. It gives the outlet for allowing madness enablers IE. card advantage, or worst case you cycle lands you do not want. If you can get 2 hits off on this bad boy (8 damage), play 3 madness spells for cheap, then sacrifice the sphinx for 2 card draw or keep cycling, (if you are crazy). Reguardless 3 mana for 8 damage, the sudo-mana ramp of madness cost reduction, and draw 2 cards is HELLA dope!
Jori En, Ruin Diver This lovely gal is what started it all. I've been wanting to use her in modern since her spoiling and I realize with the return to Shadows over Innistrad that Madness was the PERFECT way to maximize Jori's drawing passive. This little lady is our MVP and keeps us drawing spells to keep the board in our dirty Grixis mits!
Artifact/Enchantments
Smuggler's Copter There is a reason this bugger got banned in standard. It is just too good! It turns all my 1/1 weenies into crewable threats. It lets me refine my hand OR madness things in which basically lets me draw a card!
Drake Haven I'm trying this card out. There is very very little enchantment removal in modern generally run so this seems like an excellent bit of win-con/utilitly. The drakes can crew my copter, they can trade. If they get hit by removal oh noooo my (1) investment tear.

Snapcaster Mage or
Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
