Introduction

This is a Jund deck with my own little spin. Many Jund lists are the same or slightly different, so I challenged myself to make Jund without Tarmogoyf and Dark Confidant . I am doing this partly because my friend made a passing comment that Jund cannot be done without Goyf or Bob, and partly because of their insane $$$ value. This deck generally wins pretty much exclusively using Huntmaster of the Fells   and Olivia Voldaren triggers to kill your opponent, with Kitchen Finks , Raging Ravine , and Thoughtseize -effects as support. The main goal here is to produce a working, killer Jund deck without using Tarmogoyf and Dark Confidant .
PSA I've recently gotten back into Magic and I don't know if this deck has aged well or not. As such, any suggestions at all would be REALLY helpful because I want to get back to playing my favourite colours ASAP.

Colors

I'm going Jund partly because I have always loved and partly because a friend of mine commented that it was impossible to play Jund without Goyf and Bob, and I want to prove him wrong. I also really like Huntmaster of the Fells   and Olivia Voldaren , and together they make Jund.

Reading the List

This deck is divided into five different categories. Land- The source of the win
Discard- These cards are intended to be used to get rid of your opponents central cards, and generally give us a card advantage.
Removal- Destroy your opponents creatures/permanents.
Wincons- The cards used to win the most.
Utility- Cards that play a supporting role.

Card Choices

Here I am going to go over each card in the deck and what it's purpose is.

Land

Blood Crypt : Black/Red lets us inquisition or bolt turn 1 if needed.

Overgrown Tomb : Fetchable G/B colour-fixing! Fun! but expensive...

Bloodstained Mire : B/R fetchland. Nuff said.

Forest : Not as good as Swamp ...

Mountain : Not as good as Forest or Swamp ...

Raging Ravine : Another land-wincon, a really good card to just dump mana in and swing at your opponent. A possible flaw with ravine however is the fact that the first time you activate Raging Revine’s passive, it is open to a lightning bolt, so be sure you aren’t just sacrificing a land for no good reason.

Stomping Ground : Fetchable R/G fixing.

Swamp : It's the best, aaaaaaround!!!

Verdant Catacombs : B/G Fetch for the win!!

Removal

Abrupt Decay : Very, very versatile spell that can't be countered. Hits most things in modern, as it's a very fast format. The fact that it's only two mana makes it even better.

Basilisk Collar : I am grouping this in with removal because with either Olivia or Huntmaster equipped, they both kill stuff super easily. Olivia becomes a better Terminate due to her ability to deal damage with an ability, grouped with deathtouch it’s an instant kill. I may replace this with Quietus Spike , but I'm deterred by its mana cost. I might even replace it with a one drop, like Vexing Devil or Bloodhall Ooze or something like that. If only Deathrite Shaman was legal. Then this spot would be set. Honestly, this and Olivia Voldaren are the original synergy that inspired me to make this deck so I want to keep it in for now, but in the future this could be replaced.

Lightning Bolt : Best burn spell in modern. Period.

Fatal Push : One mana to wreck things like Dark Confidant , Scavenging Ooze , etc.

Assasin’s Trophy: An incredible removal spell, definitely worth every penny.

Discard

Inquisition of Kozilek : Good, one mana hand disruption that hits a lot of relevant cards in modern.

Thoughtseize : Basically an Inquisition of Kozilek with a different drawback.

Wincons

Huntmaster of the Fells  : With all the removal we’re packing, flipping him will not be difficult. He is also a good way to recover from shocklands.

Olivia Voldaren : I love this card! 2 mana for one damage that turns someone into a vampire is pretty good, but the fact that it gives Olivia a counter is awesome! Her second ability isn’t totally relevant, although stealing someone's Goyf feels awesome!

Scavenging Ooze : Mainboard graveyard hate, really helps against any graveyard deck and also shrinks other people’s Tarmogoyf s. Can also turn into a huge beater in some cases.

Utility

Pain Seer : This guy is pretty good! An alternative to Dark Confidant . Can always chump block/swing at planeswalkers or just get some nice chip damage. Sometimes, it can REALLY mess you up if you flip some high mana cost cards though. I’m looking for a replacement 2-drop creature that provides decent card advantage.

Kitchen Finks : For a deck that loses so much life to Thoughtseize , and Pain Seer , a source to gain life is great! Combined with a 3/2 body AND persist to retrigger the lifegain and also survive a bolt, Kitchen Finks gives a lot of value.

Nihil Spellbomb : More mainboard graveyard hate, 1 mana and also gives the option to draw. Card advantage! Yay!.

Strengths

I can't play much with this deck because I mostly on Cockatrice, so the strengths and weaknesses and also matchups will be very guess-y. With such a heavy amount of removal, I do not think creature-based aggro will be able to stop this deck, and control should be about a fifty-fifty matchup depending on what the counter. Combo will most likely have a REALLY good game 1 unless you really mess up their hand with discard, but post board should be completely annihilated by Pithing Needle and Surgical Extraction .

Weaknesses

A card(s) that will probably destroy this deck is Blood Moon ( Magus of the Moon ). As a tri-color deck, I run many nonbasic lands, so this will pretty much cripple me. Thankfully, not many people run Blood Moon mainboard, so I will probably only see it in Game 2/3. I may be wrong about that though. In the sideboard, I have included cards such as Pithing Needle and Surgical Extraction to deal with them. If they get it on the field before I can do that, Assassin's Trophy can get rid of it assuming I have the luck to have a forest and a swamp on the field.

General Strategy

The main way to win in this deck is to beat down with Olivia Voldaren , Huntmaster of the Fells  , Raging Ravine etc. To support this, we have tons of removal and discard to generate huge card advantage. As you do this, if your opponent isn’t playing as many creatures as an aggro deck could, search their hand and get rid of cards in this order:

1.Board Wipes
2.Spot Removal
3.Countermagic

An ideal hand has Olivia Voldaren or Huntmaster of the Fells  , Removal/Discard, and about 3-4 land. If you don’t draw Olivia, Huntmaster, or Raging Ravine , you should probably mulligan. If you are playing against control, expect heavy counterspell/removal, so plan your discard. Against Splinter Twin , get rid of their combo pieces, and sideboard in Needle and Extraction. Against Burn, your pretty much dead. I would really appreciate help that would counteract Burn. Currently, I have Dragon's Claw , but that isn’t the best. Shatterstorm is for affinity.

Upgrades

Dark Confident, Tarmogoyf , Liliana of the Veil . While adding these will almost double the cost of the deck, there is no denying that they are the most efficient Jund cards out there.

If you wanted to make a "budget" version of this deck, the number one most expensive part of it is the manabase. This is because it is very important to be able to play either red or black on turn 1 consistently for a Thoughtseize /Inqusition of Kozilek/ Lightning Bolt , and then green on turn 2/3 for Scavenging Ooze and Kitchen Finks . A budget version would cut back on these expensive lands with painlands like City of Brass and Mana Confluence , but these can really start costing life as the game goes on. Even more budget than that are slower fetchlands that are in the maybeboard. Those cheapen the deck a whole lot but they are extremely slow. The most epxensive card outside the landbase is Thoughtseize , so exchanging that for more Inquisition of Kozilek or budget versions like Duress is a god idea. Otherwise, you'd be playing pretty muhc a different deck if you tried to budgetize anything else.
