I like playing Elves in Legacy and Pauper, but in Modern it doesn't seem very strong. Stole an idea from Pauper, splashing blue for Distant Melody, with a minor black splash for Shaman of the Pack and sideboard. Blue also gives access to some countermagic that also helps recur ETB effects (using Familiar's Ruse) and a slightly better Elvish Visionary, Coiling Oracle.

Gilt-Leaf Archdruid is in as a one-of, mostly to see if I can ever pull it off. Replacing the Visionary with the Oracle helps boost druid count. I've kept Collected Company for getting more elves on the board quickly, but cut Chord of Calling, as Fauna Shaman can kind of do the same thing, and Chord costs too much mana, even with convoke (we don't want to be tapping everything down to summon a Craterhoof Behemoth because then its ETB ability is wasted).

I also took a page from Merfolk's playbook and included Nylea's Presence , which with Elvish Champion can make all our elves unblockable.

Manabase is wonky and probably needs some help.
