Weatherseed Totem

Artifact

Tap: Add (Green) to your mana pool.

(2)(Green)(Green)(Green): Weatherseed Totem becomes a 5/3 green Treefolk artifact creature with trample until end of turn.

When Weatherseed Totem is put into a graveyard from play, if it was a creature, return this card to its owner's hand.

City of Ass is funny but it's also the only thing keeping this deck illegal haha Anyway, maybe Weatherseed Totem? I can't help but see it.

Add the Totems from Time Spiral: Thunder Totem, Foriysian Totem, Phyrexian Totem, Chronatog Totem and Weatherseed Totem.

Also Vedalken Engineer for specialized ramp. Not sure if you'd count the Monuments from Amonkhet?

Weatherseed Totem is actually really good in a lot of corner cases. Because it has trample, I can actually use it as a win-condition, and I can sacrifice it in a pinch. I could see swapping out Wall of Blossoms, though.

As for your other suggestions, Death's Presence was actually in the first draft of the deck, but I cut it because it didn't have enough of an impact. Tower of Fortunes is good, but eight mana is really expensive for a draw-four effect. Doubling Season is way outside my price range, but I would run it if I had one.

I know you said you didn't want to lower your ramp but I feel the best choice, if the addition is to be made at all, would be Weatherseed Totem or a wall. Other suggestions may be Death's Presence, Tower of Fortunes and Doubling Season though one is expensive to cast, the second may not be worth it, and the third is expensive to purchase and I am not sure any are as easily utilized as the altar.

I love Sapling of Colfenor, I ran her for a year or so before building Doran, the Siege Tower

Looking at your commander, I would run more than ~23% creatures in the deck. For strength and utility purposes, going outside of the tribal mold may be your best bet.

To capitalize on her abilities, I'd run Sensei's Divining Top to help ensure you hit a creature every time. I also LOVED Well of Lost Dreams; as you're always gaining life when you flip a creature (even if you lose life to it's power). Another mean card with her is Quietus Spike (good call on Gift of the Deity ;)

I would take out some of the instants/sorceries that only hit once for those that hit again and again. Cankerous Thirst, Moment's Peace, Life/Death, etc all seem underwhelming. Maelstrom Pulse is good, as is Abrupt Decay if you're looking for removal

Once again, I would replace some things with creatures to hit her ability more often. Weatherseed Totem, Golgari Germination, and Lignify is hilarious but not 100% necessary

Have fun!

Hah thanks. I actually was just looking at Rites of Flourishing. It seems like a good idea, I just would hate it for playing against a blue control deck. If I was only versing zoo decks I would totally run it. I may turn around eventually - but probably not in this wave of rebuilding.

Weatherseed Totem holds a soft spot for me. I was completely locked out of BorBor for an entire game and had nothing but the totem to block for me and Seismic Assault for spot removal. It was a game of Emperor, and the opponent's emperor kept him off the field. The general I was versing was a Mayael the Anima so the consistent blocker was enough to sustain me. That's the reasons I like Dread Statuary, Treetop Village, and Gruul Keyrune for games I have to play without the cheif. But - that hasn't happened in awhile. The deck has morphed a lot since then and hasn't require their services much.
