Raking Canopy
Enchantment
Whenever a creature with flying attacks you, Raking Canopy deals 4 damage to it.
Rhadamanthus on Can I order triggered abilities …
2 weeks ago
You can't get the full result you're going for here. Yes, you can choose the order of triggers you control that are trying to go onto the stack at the same time, but the problem is that Barbed Foliage doesn't trigger in this situation.
When your opponent declares Storm Crow as an attacker, both Gravity Well and Raking Canopy trigger because it's a flying creature. You put those triggers on the stack in the order of your choice and they resolve. After Gravity Well causes it to lose flying, you don't back up the game and "re-check" for Barbed Foliage's trigger. The moment when it could have triggered (your opponent declaring attackers) has already passed.

I control Gravity Well, Raking Canopy and Barbed Foliage.
My opponent attacks me with a Storm Crow that has been pumped with a Giant Growth (fearsome, I know).
Am I able to order each of the triggers so that Raking Canopy triggers first (dealing 4 damage to an attacking creature with flying), Gravity Well triggering second (forcing the Storm Crow to walk like a peasant), and finally triggering Barbed Foliage to deal the remaining damage to the massive threat that is attempting to end my miserable existence?

Hello! I went through your list looking for spots to upgrade, but I found almost none: congratulations, it is really optimized!
Still, I believe you might want to consider some of these cards to increase your engine:
Ramp: Cultivate and Llanowar Elves could be Starfield Mystic, Bear Umbra, Burgeoning or Exploration instead, to stick with the Enchantments theme.
Draw: Don't forget the other enchantresses (Satyr Enchanter, Verduran Enchantress). I would take out Hyena Umbra and Cartouche of Solidarity for them.
Tutors: Heliod's Pilgrim might be better than Moon-Blessed Cleric, since it puts the card in your hand.
Pillowfort: Raking Canopy is probably more effective to deflect fliers than Spider Umbra. Elephant Grass could take White Sun's Twilight's place, since the former does not blow your own field.
Evasion: You might want Unquestioned Authority for extra evasion. It might replace Aegis of the Gods. (In my experience, players' spells do not usually target other players.)
Hate pieces: Rest in Peace, Ground Seal, Solemnity, Authority of the Consuls, Blind Obedience are some cards you might want to include.
Win conditions:
- Since your deck punishes artifacts so heavily (Austere Command, Stony Silence, Titania's Song), I believe Helm of the Gods could be swapped out for Primal Order as a punisher for nonbasic landbases. (Against my decks, it would be doing all the damage.)
- Michiko's Reign of Truth Flip, Katilda, Dawnhart Martyr Flip and Hallowed Haunting might be good finishers for your deck.

Hello Snakeman!
Saw your post on the AyCD thread, but unfortunately I'm no good at suggesting cuts. I did want to comment anyway, though, because I really like Thantis (though I've never built her myself) and I've envisioned her a bit differently than what you have here.
In my opinion, you should run a lot more attack-consequent cards. In other words, cards that punish your opponents for attacking you.
On the top of that list is No Mercy, which some people don't like to use because it causes hurt feels. To me, though, it's a no-brainer. Here's a few others I like:
In addition to that list, I might also suggest Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant and Parasitic Impetus, both of which feed your theme, and Druids' Repository, which is great ramp in any attack heavy deck.
There I go, making things even more complicated, hahaha...
Cheers!

I have a wurm deck and noticed the huge weakness to fliers too. I threw in Raking Canopy and it's honestly a life-saver!! If You had to remove something, I'd say Eladamri's Call since you cheat your creatures out from topdeck anyway.
Love the deck!! Fun stuff. Wurms are my favorite tribe.

Pollenbright Druid can give you another body to sacrifice to Mycoloth, while also giving a +1/+1 counter if needed or Proliferating your spore counters. Thallid is a 1 drop that generates and uses spore counters. Mirror Entity takes all your frail creatures and turns them as big as you can pay for. Overrun can be a nice finisher with all these tokens lying around
I would remove Contagion Engine for another Mycoloth. Raking Canopy is only good for Sideboard and doesn't need to be in Mainboard as it can well be a dead card on your hand. I would also switch out Tukatongue Thallid for another Utopia Mycon and Thallid Shell-Dweller
Other than that I would trim the number of your lands to maybe like 22-23, while removing Fungal Sprouting and adding either Pollenbright Druid or Sporecrown Thallid

If you are worried about big flyers, Grounded is a reliable way to deal with them. Gravity Well helps against go-wide strategies, helping your elves get a crack at them, and Raking Canopy will also help.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I wasn't familiar with Raking Canopy before, I'll try to get my hands on one.
Couple of my friends run artifact decks, so Root Maze is great. It's a tech card, so switching it for something on my maybeboard is always a possibility.
