Started as G/R Monsters, ends as a RUG build...

Hey guys! How's everyone doing? So this is a new build I threw together and am hoping to bring it to my LGS's Star City IQ. Really exited to play it and think it has some great potential. Here is a rundown of some of the cards:

Planeswalkers:

Xenagos, the Reveler : No arguments really. It can be used a mana ramp or a late game finisher. Either way, great card.

Domri Rade: Again, no question here. Usually gets me some creatures and has some great synergy with Courser of Kruphix. Also gets rid of big threats.

Creatures:

Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid both in the deck for the same purpose, get out some big threats in the early game.

Courser of Kruphix: The fact that it is a source of life gain is very important. Also has great synergy with Domri Rade. Gets lands out of the way so I can keep drawing threats.

Scavenging Ooze: Can get bigger after a Supreme Verdict has hit the field. Can disrupt Deathrite Shaman and decks that run Elixir of Immortality. Also, my meta has Dredge and Reanimator.

Polukranos, World Eater: Great card. Kills weenies off fast and is. 5/5 for 4. Not a hard decision.

Ghor-Clan Rampager : I can either make a creature huge for a turn or play a 4/4 trample. Great card. Synergies well with Prime Speaker Zegana.

Master Biomancer : Makes even mana dorks a threat! Makes my creatures bigger than they already are.

Stormbreath Dragon: Obvious choice for the deck. Monstrous ability wrecks control and is threat in itself.

Xenagos, God of Revels: Will usaully become a creature. Also doubles the size of any creature I have. Best target is Stormbreath Dragon.

Prophet of Kruphix : The card that convinced me to add blue to the deck. Makes my creatures scarier and unexpected.

Prime Speaker Zegana: Without Garruk, Caller of Beasts, I need some card draw. So here it is. Also if played correctly, I get a huge creature.

Spells:

Mizzium Mortars: Kills Blood Baron of Vizkopa, large Aggro forces! and lots of other things.

Cyclonic Rift: Clears the board so that I can get a full attack in. When I overload a Cyclonic Rift, I should win that turn.

Bident of Thassa: Again, more card draw. Also makes my opponents creatures run into my huge forces.

So, that's a rundown of the cards. Please give me advice! Hoping to go first! As a sidenote, I threw the sideboard together. ideas welcomed. Happy Deckbuilding to all and to all a good night!

Took to FNM, went 3-2. Here's a rundown of the night, I also added a sideboard.

Round 1- 0-2, G/R Monsters. Both games, he was way more consistent then me. At one time (which won him game 2) he double Anger of the Gods and wiped my board of awesomeness and is board of Sylvan Caryatid.

Round 2- 2-1, Naya Auras. Game one he was stuck on 1 land and I took advantage of that. Game 2 he killed me turn 4 with a Gladecover Scout with Ethereal Armor and 2 Madcap Skills and had Double strike from Boros Charmfoil. game 3 I saw he was mana screwed so I took advantage with double Stormbreath Dragon.

Round 3- 0-2, Maze's Endfoil. I am ashamed. he runs 16 fog affects and 3 board wipes. He castsSupreme Verdict and wiped my board of triple Monstrous Stormbreath Dragon and 6-10 other creatures. Game 2 was the exact same.

Round 4- 2-1, Maze's Endfoil. Yep, I play it again. But I win. He eventually ran out of fog affects (this list and the other deck is the same) and actually never saw a Maze's Endfoil. I took game 1. game 2 I forgot to sideboard (we are good friends and we were talking a lot) and also in my defense, he forgot to sideboard too. He beats me after he wipes the field of my creatures and gets enough gates. Then game 3, I had a Bident of Thassa out and a ton of creatures. I attacked and he casts Riot Control and becomes tapped out. I Counterflux it (thank you new sideboard) draw 5 cards and get the Pithing Needle. After he has 8 gates out, i Pithing Needle the Maze's Endfoil.

Round 5, bye.

Overall, not too bad for a new deck. I haven't checked yet, but I think I placed like 11th or so.
