This is my second EDH deck, first built in 2014. While Odric was the original consideration for a commander, I was smitten by Avacyn and she was the first commander of this deck. The deck was consistently able to ramp her out quickly, and I found fewer and fewer people who were willing to play against the deck.

That's when Odric came out of the deck and into the top-loader. Concerted Effort inspired the new direction, and Odric's sword inspired the inclusion of Avacyn-themed equipment. The deck at one point became too bogged down in equipment, suffered through a brief stint with Nahiri as the commander before going back to its roots.

This is the "latest" version, i.e., it hasn't been updated in a few years. And really thinking about it, I think I've actually played more against this deck that having actually played it myself. Because it's a reliable deck and easy to play, it's often loaned out to newer players.
