This deck plays pretty well, but I'd love to take it to the next level. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated! The game plan in this deck is relatively straight forward. We're looking to trade one-for-one in the early game (or more-for-one with Deafening Clarion) until we can resolve a big beater. The deck is built to take full advantage of Niv-Mizzet Reborn as our big beater of choice. In games that I've played he usually ends up being a five mana 6/6 flyer who draws us 3-5 cards.

Until we get to our Niv, we look to play removal and disruption like Assassin's Trophy, Mortify, and Thought Erasure, and these cards help us to protect him or clear the way of blockers once we get him.

Growth Spiral, Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath, and Gilded Goose help us to fix our mana and ramp into an early Niv-Mizzet, although I'm still feeling out how many geese fit into the deck, if any.

In some cases we need a little bit more reach, which we get from card like Klothys, God of Destiny and Cindervines.

The rest of the deck is rounded out with bridge pieces and backup plans, and the nature of our engine piece in Niv Mizzet allows us to play some pieces mainboard against highly expected threats in the format. Matches against control or other super grindy decks often turn us to Ashiok, Dream Render as a win condition, and Seraph of the Scales is a decent way to deal with a Dream Trawler.
