Seaworld - Budget Rashmi Ramp

Commander / EDH

BudgeterBlais

This deck is a 50 dollar budget commander deck for Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, with a ramp theme.

There are two main steps to reach the win cons in this deck.

1: Ramp.

Ramp is a huge part of this deck because it enables us to get out our big creatures like Inkwell Leviathan. The first type of ramp is usually on a creature or enchantment that adds mana to our mana pool, whereas the second type searches the library for lands and puts them on the field. An example of the first type is Somberwald Sage, and an example of the second is Harrow. The advantage of the first type is that it often gives out more mana than a normal land, or gives more choice in the type of land. The second type is better, as it is much harder to get rid of lands than of creatures or enchantments, so there is less risk of losing our ramp power. Krosan Drover is another way to accelerate the big creatures onto the battlefield.

2: Play massive creatures.

This deck is full of huge powered creatures that can swing at opponents for enormous amounts of damage, or block big attacks. Some of the best of these are Stormtide Leviathan, Inkwell Leviathan, Tromokratis and Great Whale. Some have evasion like flying or islandwalk.

Top Cards

1 - Quest for Ula's Temple.

This is probably the best accelerator in the deck, because there are so many creatures, that you will often hit a creature on its first ability. Having the second ability activate at the beginning of the end step is a huge plus because it will put one of your creatures out on the third turn that Quest for Ula's Temple is out on the field, and because of its low mana cost, you can play it turn one, and get a big creature by turn four or five for free.

2 - Quicksilver Amulet.

A great accelerator because it can drop the eight or nine mana creatures from your hand for half their cost.

3 - Followed Footsteps.

The best of the clone effects in the deck, because you can get a free unblockable Tidal Kraken, or get a Krosan Drover to cast other creatures for much cheeper, every turn.
