Jund 'Em Out, Standard Style

Standard BRG (Jund) Midrange

Sideboard

This is the deck I am currently running and enjoying alot. Let's get to explaining the card choices:Creatures:4x Sylvan Advocate: One of the best creatures in standard, great synergy with Hissing Quagmire and awoken creatures from Ruinous Path. Also dodges Languish and Grasp of Darkness3x Tireless Tracker: Great card in any midrange deck, rewards you for playing lands by allowing you to draw more cards and pumps itself when you do, great synergy with Evolving Wilds as well2x Goblin Dark-Dwellers: Flashing back kill spells, card drawing spells, hand disruption, or anything else you need besides Languish and Radiant Flames sigh if only. Also, a 4/4 body with Menace isnt bad either2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet: A staple against many decks running around this format. Completely thrashes other Midrange and Aggro decks from the format, Languish lets you wipe their board and then exile them making 2/2 zombies1x Nissa, Vastwood Seer  : A great early game get another land or late game planeswalker that drops a 4/4 creature or lets us put a card in our hand or land on the battlefield

Spells:3x Languish: In this standard format, this card is a necessity if you are playing black. Helps shut down many top decks in the format that don't have answers

3x Read the Bones: Allows you to dig deeper into your deck, also better than Painful Truths because we run Goblin Dark-Dwellers

1x Kolaghan's Command: I used to run 3 in the main board but decided to drop down to 1. Great 2 for 1 card that can do whatever you need from dealing 2 damage, returning a creature from your graveyard, making opponents discard a card, and destroying pesky artifacts like Pyromancer's Googles and Hangarback Walker

2x Grasp of Darkness: Kills many important creatures at instant speed, also dodges indestrucible given to creatures by Archangel Avacyn

2x Ultimate Price: Kills many big threats through out the format, besides cards like Eldrazi, The Gitrog Monster, Reflector Mage, Dragonlord Ojutai and some others, but we can deal with them in other ways

2x Fiery Impulse: Best burn spell in the format, even though it's not as good in my opinion. Still, kills many early creatures against decks that like to pressure our life total early

2x Ruinous Path: One of the best ways to kill planeswalkers and creatures, early or late game, as stated before, provides great synergy with Sylvan Advocate if the Awaken cost is paid

1x Pulse of Murasa: Great card, allows us to catch back up with opponents by being able to grab back creatures that have died or lands such as Evolving Wilds to help fix our land base some more

Planeswalkers:

2x Chandra, Flamecaller: One of the best planeswalkers currently in this format, can either be used as a board wipe, putting pressure on opponents, or even drawing a new hand

2x Ob Nixilis Reignited: I have bounced around the idea of going with either 2 Ob or 1 Arlinn and 2 Arlinn and 1 Ob, ultimately, I decided Ob does much more things that Arlinn can in this deck. Allows us to kill creatures and draw more cards, sounds like a win to me. Also, against control decks, his ultimate can be devastating by putting them on a set turn clock

1x Arlinn Kord  : My did I have high expectations with this card. My initial idea with this card was just i drop 3 wolves and bolt 3 times. In testing, the best way, in my opinion, to use this card is to +1 giving Goblin Dark-Dwellers, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Hissing Quagmire and other awoken lands +2/+2 vigilance and haste. This allows us to attack and leave blockers back for our opponents next turn. Usually great card when we are ahead, kind of bad card when we are behind

Lands:4x Evolving Wilds: If you run 3 colors in any standard deck now, you better be running a full playset of this land, absolutely crucial for fixing our mana base. Also, great synergy with Tireless Tracker, 2 clue tokens seems great from just one card

4x Cinder Glade, Smoldering Marsh and Hissing Quagmire: The best lands currently at our disposal for these colors.

3x Swamp and Mountain: Since we are running alot of BB and RR cards, I feel we should have more of these than Forest

2x Forest: Again, necessary for our deck, also want out to animate Hissing Quagmire

SideBoard:

1x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet: Comes in against Aggro and Midrange decks, absolutely eats them up

1x Natural State: Comes in for white matchups were Stasis Snare and other enchantments are used to slow us down, also good against SuperFriend decks to get rid of Oath of Nissa, also good answer to Hangarback Walker. Also, an answer to Always Watching .

1x Virulent Plague: Comes in against Token matchups, basically play this and their deck can't function

2x Dragonmaster Outcast: Comes in against Midrange and Control decks, decks that sometimes can't deal with fliers will get punished by this card

2x Duress: Comes in against Ramp and Control decks. Being that ramp is our worst matchup, we want to go turn 1 duress to take the ramp right out from their hand and leave them with big fatties they can not cast

2x Transgress the Mind: Comes in against Midrange, Ramp and Control. Can run rampant on Bant Coco style decks and other decks that have higher curves. Not as a good in Aggro matchups since the curve is much lower

1x Pick the Brain: Comes in against Ramp and Control, sometimes Midrange. One of the more underrated cards from this set.

2x Clip Wings: Comes in to deal with Archangel Avacyn  , Ormendahl, Profane Prince, Dragonlord Ojutai, Archangel of Tithes, and other flying creatures

2x Roast: Comes in during Aggro and Midrange matchups. Another way to deal with opposing Sylvan Advocate and other creatures where Fiery Impulse just doesn't get the job done, such as Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher.

1x Infinite Obliteration: Great against Ramp, which is our worst matchup. Takes their Worldbreaker and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or whatever else you fear facing in the game.

Updates Add

Through testing, I realized 3 Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet wasn't so good in the main so i dropped 1 and added another Languish. Also, I realized again, that Tireless Tracker is one of the best cards in standard right now and was definitely good for running 4 in the main, which required me to drop 1 Goblin Dark-Dwellers from the main.
