Just a couple of ideas.

18/4/2020: It's always been one of my favorite prospects, this deck that is potentially the U/G Rock of the Premodern format. And today, after thinking about a possibly stronger synergy, it comes a step closer to earning the name of "The Rock." It's always a damn shame, drawing into Aether Mutation , as I really want to feel rewarded when I draw the card, but I almost always never do. Against a deck that runs very little creatures, at most I can bounce my own Mystic Snake , for four 1/1 counters. An okay move. I was always thinking that it would be better to have three cards in it's place that are just strictly stronger, like Deranged Hermit and Evacuation ? So... -3 Aether Mutation , +2 Deranged Hermit and +1 Evacuation for sweeping and sweeper replies. It looks like I may need to reconfigure the mana support now, but testing commences. ...Yep. Skyshroud Forest out, City of Brass in. A little faster now.

19/4/2020: As an Evacuation went into the mainboard, I removed one from the sideboard, to replace the empty slot with Gaea's Blessing , which is good against "Dementia Drake", and "Reanimator" decks. A odd slot, but a flexible one.

23/8/2020: In testing, the deck just seemed to be having some difficulty closing out games, or "rounding the corner" as a midrange deck, so to speak. I went ahead and added some cards that can stop early bleeding ( Wall of Roots ) and then lay down some beats while still playing to quirky drawbacks ( Wormfang Drake ). I also thought it would be good to add Chain of Vapor to stay on curve, answer Goblin Lackey and bounce my own permanents when targeted by removal. While I did need to dispose of Mana Leak , it allows me to hold back less mana to better develop my own board. Testing continues.
