Again, this is an attempt at an Izzet themed deck using the 8x8 method, where you pick 8 effects and choose 8 cards for each one. Today's attempt focuses on the Izzet League, and if you can figure out what'll happen when you play a spell in less than a minute, you're probably playing this deck wrong. The goal of this deck is to dig through your own as quickly as possible until Commit / Memory is in your graveyard and you can play Thousand-Year Storm and/or Eye of the Storm , then let the madness ensue. This deck comes packed with cheap damage spells to build up that storm count, plenty of draw and scry abilities to move through your deck ASAP, and some wizard synergies to hopefully distract your opponent long enough for your magnum opus to bear fruit.

Helpful in this endeavor will be Archmage Ascension , which is the only way to tutor for enchantments and is honestly just very scary in general.
