Deck looks fun

I think Faerie Miscreant is way too greedy in this deck. Since you aren't playing any cantrips its very unlikely you will actually get to draw cards off of the miscreant, and I think in this deck you'd much rather be playing more removal and counterspells in this list. Personally, I'd go up to 4 Drown in the loch, and 2 copies of mana leak or another cheap counterspell.

The_Legionarre thanks for the feedback!

I understand where you're coming from. I'm gonna try a few variantions of the deck. Right now I'm more after tempo than control or aggro, and having that T1 creature with a relevant type and built-in evasion shouldn't be underestimated with Soaring Thought-Thief and Stinkdrinker Bandit threatening as early as T2. The draw is incidental mostly, but valuable when it happens - which is why I'm currently playing Miscreant over removal, cantrips, and Slither Blade. I've had people bolt/path/push a Miscreant on the board with another on the stack because they overestimate the tempo I get from drawing the card - which protects my other valuable creatures.

I definitely bought extra copies of DitL and Remand for future testing though. I imagine Rogues are gonna get more tech over the coming year as well so this lost could be totally different next year!

I'd try Merfolk Windrobber if you want a second playset of turn one rogues. my biggest gripe with the miscreant is just that it wont do anything half the time. Also, I get that people overestimate the value of drawing off miscreant, but you don't want to be planning around your opponents misplays. Over all though I really like the list, I'd just try to shave to 16 creatures+the borrowers, it'll let you play a much stronger tempo game, since without the right amount of counters and removal you arent able to successfully win a tempo game.

I've never seen that Merfolk actually, great suggestion. I actually had a 20-21 creature list originally and somebody suggested adding a few extra bodies. I'll try with a few more noncreature spells and with that Merfolk 1 drop to see how it plays!
