Legion Loyalty

Enchantment

Creatures you control have myriad. (Whenever a creature with myriad attacks, for each opponent other than defending player, you may create a token that's a copy of that creature that's tapped and attacking that player or a planeswalker they control. Exile the tokens at the end of combat.)

Voodoo_Gremlin on Niko Blink (feedback welcome)

I say this with not much experience with blink decks. The Lightning Greaves does give protection and the equip cost is only 0 but, it blocks almost all the blink spells in the deck. You may want to replace it with Swiftfoot Boots. If you just want to slap it on Niko and just have them protected from spells great. If you'd like to try and make more shards by blinking them you may want to consider the change I'm suggesting.

Also, do you have any thoughts on what you're game changers will be? Not sure what your budget would be but I'd recommend Cyclonic Rift, Mystical Tutor and Rhystic Study. I'd suggest pulling and Acrobatic Maneuver, Decanter of Endless Water, Legion Loyalty (good in the deck but so expensive to cast)

Dec 20, updated 12 cards but lost again. Thomas took me out first, after dominating with Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools and Lagomos, Hand of Hatred. He had a huge Mob Rule, borrowing a Korvold, Fae-Cursed King. Thomas reminded me that it was my suggestion to add Mob Rule to the deck. He tutored in each of about four turn cycles with Lagomos, Hand of Hatred before sacrificing Juri, Master of the Revue to kill me--28 damage was just a point or two over my life total.

Victor, Valgavoth's Seneschal finally won in its fourth game, its second game with 12 cards updated. We all removed Kalamax, the Stormsire's permanents in a two-hour game. I had Extinguish All Hope and several turns later, Life's Finale targeting Will, on Sovereign Okinec Ahau, was enough for him to concede. Starfield of Nyx returned a ton of enchantments. I stocked my graveyard by drawing 17 with an early Necropotence in response to Ben targeting it with removal. Elspeth Conquers Death made multiple appearances and got an Auramancer to recur the Starfield of Nyx very late game. Legion Loyalty and moreso, Dictate of Erebos, made a huge contribution, thanks also to the Fanatical Devotion. I attacked with my enchantments for the Starfield of Nyx win at 5 life.

Azoth2099, I have. I did have Legion Loyalty in the deck, but it was much too slow. The Battle Angels would be faster. I will have to think on if the deck can support myriad functionally. I have been thinking of Conclave Evangelist.

jsnrice, thank you for the suggestions and for checking out the deck!

Living Plane is definitely an interesting suggestion. When initially tinkering with this deck I did consider running this card. Ultimately I opted not to run it however because it does not synergize with my main game plan(s) for this build (see the Introduction tab); and because I'm trying to curate a specific gameplay experience for this deck so that it doesn't feel overly oppressive or debilitating to play against. This is why I've also personally opted to not play really cool cards such as Out of Time (can permanently remove opponent's commanders from the game if turned into a creature with Anikthea), or things like Legion Loyalty, Starlight Spectacular,Cathars' Crusade (strong effects that lead to really convoluted and drawn out turns).

That being said, Living Plane (and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite) is a really cool option for Anikthea builds leaning harder into go-wide and resource denial strategies; and I'll add it to the maybeboard for consideration!

This one will create infinite tokens and infinite combat phases:

The Master, Multiplied, Aurelia, the Warleader, & Legion Loyalty.

The Master makes it so that Myriad tokens don’t get sacrificed/exiled and removes the Legendary rule, while Legion gives Aurelia Myriad. Because tokens entering the the battlefield tapped & attacking don’t register as “attacking”, you can get infinite combat phases, so long as you have at least 2 opponents.

I am building a similar deck myself, I am enjoying the premise of using myriad as a major ability of my deck. I was also toying around with getting multiple combat phases on my turns.

So cards like Blade of Selves Battle Angels of Tyr and Legion Loyalty.

One particularly nasty combo I am dreaming of was Blade of Selves + Master of Cruelties on a turn where you've given yourself an additional combat phase after this one with Response / Resurgence then kill as many other players as you can manage with an onslaught of attacking creatures with various doubled triggers.

Any thoughts on this tactic?
