Dec 20, updated 12 cards but lost again. Thomas took me out first, after dominating with Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools and Lagomos, Hand of Hatred. He had a huge Mob Rule, borrowing a Korvold, Fae-Cursed King. Thomas reminded me that it was my suggestion to add Mob Rule to the deck. He tutored in each of about four turn cycles with Lagomos, Hand of Hatred before sacrificing Juri, Master of the Revue to kill me--28 damage was just a point or two over my life total.

Victor, Valgavoth's Seneschal finally won in its fourth game, its second game with 12 cards updated. We all removed Kalamax, the Stormsire's permanents in a two-hour game. I had Extinguish All Hope and several turns later, Life's Finale targeting Will, on Sovereign Okinec Ahau, was enough for him to concede. Starfield of Nyx returned a ton of enchantments. I stocked my graveyard by drawing 17 with an early Necropotence in response to Ben targeting it with removal. Elspeth Conquers Death made multiple appearances and got an Auramancer to recur the Starfield of Nyx very late game. Legion Loyalty and moreso, Dictate of Erebos, made a huge contribution, thanks also to the Fanatical Devotion. I attacked with my enchantments for the Starfield of Nyx win at 5 life.

May 3, 2024, I started a new quest. Having built 52 decks, I endeavoured to play them all, in roughly the same order as I created them.

Treasure Chest

Omnath (decklist not uploaded) won another epic game. I dropped an early Mana Flare. Will used Sovereign Okinec Ahau to threaten Ben who retaliated to kill his dad with his commander Kalamax, the Stormsire. I untapped once with Omnath, which was enough for Blue Sun's Zenith for 12ish, even though he was killed in my upkeep lol. Win brings my record to 23-26-1 for a .469 win percentage

So I rebuilt Rienne, Angel of Rebirth multicolored legends matter today and added Annie Joins Up.

I got to counting and realized I have exactly 20 triggered abilities that AJU can double and I'm after opinions on if that's enough? The effects I have access to are pretty impactful but a little more sparse than I'd like.

Rienne's Kaleidoscope - Multicolor/Legends Matter is the deck if anyone feels like checking. Also, here's the triggers AJU can double here:

Forgotten Ancient needs one full turn to trigger and the reward is not that great

Smothering Tithe has no synergy with your deck, you just become the archenemy instantly

Thalia and The Gitrog Monster is not a good card for your deck imo

Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon brings no synergy to the deck but is a strong kill. This is better than Thalia and gitrog however

Toxic Deluge is a very good card but is anti-synergistic with your deck because it goes over indestructible (so you can't protect you board and then wrath). Consider Damning Verdict if your are the only counter-matter player in your playgroup

Abzan Battle Priest is a strong card because lifelink is a powerful mechanic, even more when you keep your creature in defence

Keep in mind you only have 8 black creature + your commandant for Flare of Malice

You have very strong creature cards in deck like Sovereign Okinec Ahau. If members of your playgroup play tutors, you can improve your deck by adding Eladamri's Call and others

Anyway, this is a very good brew for sure and never forget to play the cards you like rather than the strong ones.

Sovereign Okinec Ahau is frickin ridiculous!

It can completely take over a 4 pod AND can recover pretty quickly from a boardwipe. Mine was pretty much unstoppable for over a month, and then I took it apart because I like other people to have fun too.

Dylls If you're only using +1/+1 counters, that works as a rule. If a creature's power is being raised by another source, like the Swords of _ and __ in this deck, Sovereign Okinec Ahau will count that for its ability. If a 1/1 with no counters and equipped with Sword of Fire and Ice is out when SOA attacks, that creature will get two +1/+1 counters.

Sovereign Okinec Ahau actually reads Whenever it attacks, double the number of +1/+1 counters on each creature you control...

Or am I wrong?
