Replaced Steady Progress with Thrummingbird, definitely more thematic but i'm not sure if giving up that card draw was worth the extra proliferate. Also unsure if the swan songs are actually a good idea, "here deck with no flying, let me give you something with which to block my flying creatures".

Through playtesting I found that the biggest issue I had was around mana - either I didn't have enough white mana to play Knight of Meadowgrain or Spear of Heliod on T2 and T3 respectively, or I didn't have enough devotion to make Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx give me enough mana for Godhead of Awe, or I didn't get Nykthos out at all.
So I've added a few things. Leyline of the Meek allows me to potentially start the game with 2 devotion/chroma for Nykthos and +1/+1 for my goats when I get them out. Weathered Wayfarer allows me to search for Nykthos if I don't have it, and helps thin my deck later in the game. I was also able to take out 2 plains because of him. Finally, Crusade instead of Glorious Anthem to help me get more devotion faster.

Cleared old comments.Still not sure how I feel about Devour Flesh or the number of Dissolve that I have. Considering adding two Nightveil Specter. Sideboard is, as always, in flux (Must be the inner Izzet). Suggestions welcome. Please upvote if you like it.

Ended up going 2-2 at the end of the night Round 1 won against U/W control 2-1 once rootborn was sided in along with pithing needle and enchantment hate there was nothing he could do. Round 2 played Naya aggro and was outpaced by his unflinching courage while not drawing mine. 1-2 Round 3 played R/G monsters and it outpaced me in both putting creatures out and their size. 1-2 Round 4 played boros devotion, once plummet was sided in for stormbreath it was game 2-1. Any advice in the R/G matchup would be greatly appreciated!

Until I can get four wastelands AT $70 EACH, I don't think this can get much better. Soon as the R/U scry lands come out they will join their friends.
Cards added!

After opening a box of BNG I have pulled 3 Temple of Malice which I have added to the deck in replace of 3 Swamps. This extra scry should help to smooth out my draws!

Did some adjustments to the deck:
Swapped Turntimber Grove, Urza's Factory and Slippery Karst for Dust Bowl, Ice Floe and Strip Mine.
Turntimber Grove's ability was essentially useless and I forgot about it half of the time. Urza's Factory was nice to put out colorless blockers if someone got protection from green, but it isn't useful enough and Ice Floe can assist in this scenario, as well as in general. Slippery Karst was also useless and I hope that gaining some land destroy with Dust Bowl and Strip Mine will be effective.
I also did some more substitutions.
Burgeoning is out, it was only fun when it was in my opening hand along with 4 lands... this scenario doesn't happen all that often. I added in Ulvenwald Tracker instead, it has a nice sort of control ability for green and keeps the 1CMC slot of Burgeoning. It also is another 1CMC creature that can be utilized with Hibernation's End
Also: Rampaging Baloths are out in favor of Woodfall Primus
and Summoning Trap is out in favor of Archetype of Endurance

Completing the Cycle
Biohunter405, 11 years ago
Cleaning up the comments, was getting a bit long. Now, I want your opinions. I've decided upon making the 4 random cards into a sudo-cycle of only rainbow cards. Here are the options I'm considering:
Discussions on whether Child of Alara should remain commander are also open, but I do like the idea of an optional nuke available whenever I want.
Thanks for all the support!

According to your feedback I've made a bunch of changes. The Akroan Crusaders and Young Pyromancers are gone, and Phalanx Leader is back in. I've also added two Anax and Cymede to test out.
FNM Report 3/7/14

Late FNM report. Busy weekend.
Went 3-1-1 out of 5 rounds with one intentional draw to finish 7th in top 8 and we decided to split the prize.
R1: Rakdos Aggro (W 2-1)
This was his first FNM so I helped him out a bit on how to make the best possible plays (without knowing what he had in his hand of course). Lost game 1 when I couldn't keep up with the damage. Won games 2 and 3 thanks to Mogis, God of Slaughter and other lifegain outlets after having torn his hand apart with my disruption spells.
R2: White Weenie (W 2-1)
Mmm. The same guy who I've recently been losing to, but not this time! Lost game 1 to an explosive unanswered start. Won a long game 2 when we started topdecking (but my lategame is way stronger) and I hit 2 Blood Baron of Vizkopa after resolving Elspeth, Sun's Champion several turns earlier and doing tons of mathing since he had Xathrid Necromancer on board. I eventually overcame his army with evasive creatures, baiting his removals, and a perfectly-timed Anger of the Gods. Game 3 was a bit quicker thanks to Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Whip of Erebos and friends.
R3: RG Monsters (L 0-2)
Ugh. The deck is so damn strong and he himself admitted that he was drawing extra live both games (and I can testify since Courser of Kruphix let me see the draws too). Got hit super hard super fast. Still a matchup I have to do more research on.
R4: Boros Aggro (W 2-0)
White weenie with red splash for Boros Charm and such. Won a longish game 1 thanks to Obzedat, Ghost Council. Won another longish game 2 with Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Obzedat, Ghost Council. These guys were all-stars tonight!
R5: Intentional Draw (1-1-1)
So that put me in 7th place in top 8 and we decided to split and play EDH instead. Much shenans were had.

I removed the Doom Blade and Fog in favor of Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Nighthowler because I found that I needed more mid game creatures. Thinking of removing Scourge of Skola Vale. I really like the card in combination with Whip of Erebos because it can get counters from the creature that was whipped in. However, I find myself sitting and waiting to sacrifice things to the Scourge instead of just attacking with it. Suggestions?

Play tips & Tactics

SPOT REMOVAL PROTECTION
Pacifism seems to be recurring card played in our pauper tournaments in one game we had 6 on the board between my opponent and I. The game was getting stalled, then it dawned on me that I could simple Gods Willing my creature and declare white to destroy the pacifism.
So for those of you playing this deck try to keep your Gods willing in hand and use them for protection instead of buffing during an attack. They are instant speed so they will basically stop any spot removal in this format.
Don't forget your triggers - there are so many!
TOKENS
Akroan Crusader tokens have haste always remember that when buffing him. You can buff him during attack to drop in a blocker for your opponents turn or buff him before your attack and add another attacker.
FIRST STRIKE
I keep forgetting that Ethereal armor also provides first strike so remember that when you are planning your attack phase
That's all for now.

Lux Cannon
Maccon, 11 years ago
Took a couple of Relentless Rats out to throw in a Nezumi Bone-Reader, and a Lux Cannon.
Nezumi to try and get peeps top decking, while im dropping rats. And after a recommendation from a friend i put in the Cannon to deal with enchantments and artifacts that prevent damage, or freeze life totals.
