Animar has always been one of my favorite Commanders, so when I caught wind of Tiny Leaders, I knew that I had to give the Soul of the Elements a try. This deck is much less focused on the infinite combo angle that the 100 card versions usually employ. Instead, it just tries to leverage Animar as a huge offensive threat as early as possible. To aid him are several hydras, all of which have 'X' in their cost: Savageborn Hydra Lifeblood Hydra Vastwood Hydra Apocalypse Hydra Mistcutter Hydra. Due to the rules interaction between the chosen value for 'X' and Animar's cost reduction of creature spells, the hydras can become huge for very little mana investment.
