Welllllll Sword of the Chosen and Bone Saw and any infect creatures are in there because sometimes winning or losing comes down to one infect. Buuuuuut all of your suggestions are excellent. Also trading Bone Saw for Mind Stone feels right to me

Sword of the Chosen has been solid in my Sisay, Weatherlight Captain superfriends deck so far in playtesting. Carth the Lion is ridiculous in superfriends and he's less than $.25 right now lol
Mono blue Azami, Lady of Scrolls wizard tribal allows me to play Watcher for Tomorrow, which is also about $.25 and a really solid 2 drop that can be abused with Deadeye Navigator shenanigans and such.

You definitely have the beginning of a solid list here. I'd recommend dropping Zetalpa, Primal Dawn, especially if you don't have more Haste anthems. On that note, I do like your inclusion of Hammer of Purphoros. You could also run Fervor or even Emblem of the Warmind as a couple more redundant options. Goro-Goro, Disciple of Ryusei is another potential option that's also on theme.
Sword of the Chosen is okay, but a bit narrow if you wanted to look for a cut. Zeriam, Golden Wind could also be another potential cut; it's narrow since it is your only Griffin in the deck. Tori D'Avenant, Fury Rider anthems up your whole team, and gives pseudo-vigilance for keeping blockers up. Ratadrabik of Urborg, Hofri Ghostforge, and Garna, the Bloodflame can help round out your creature reanimation/recursion options.

Thanks for the reply! That makes a lot of sense - 5 CMC is a lot for a 1-time thing. I guess I found Hatred an attractive card because you can use life to pay for X. I noticed you threw Sword of the Chosen in - fantastic card I completely forgot about until Dominaria United reminded me of it. I think that would be a decent swap for me in lieu of Hatred (my deck is less competitive but very much inspired by yours!)

I love Power Matrix!! Including that card may be possible as we near completion of the deck list (it's close to $3.00, so we'll have to see how the overall deck cost turns out). Sword of the Chosen fits our budget constraint and could be added after our subset of creatures is included. Great suggestions!! Thank you!
