SUMMARY

I have been playing Magic since Scars of Mirrodin. I was introduced with a red 30 card intro deck at the NYC comicon in 2010, and got addicted. In Innistrad and Return to Ravnica I drafted often, my favorite being a Modern Masters and Dark Ascension prerelease draft. In 2019 I finally got to go to my first Grand Prix! I ended up spending 6 hours walking around, trading in cards and buying a few new nice cards.

PLAYSTYLE AND DECKS

I play almost exclusively "casual but serious" EDH as I would call it; I have decks of varying power compatible for a just-for-fun environment possibly standing up well at a cEDH table. I used to play a lot of competitive modern but after the bannings of Birthing Pod and Eye of Ugin , I gave it up.

I would characterize my playstyle as very Johnny, in that I like odd and strange win conditions that surprise people, yet I also like to make a ton of mana to play huge spells because to me that's a very flashy and exciting thing to do in magic. Big spells like Worldfire , Expropriate , Biorhythm , Griselbrand , and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite are among these powerful beasts I consider to be awesome, game changing cards.

Although I have a billion decks, the only ones that I actually partially own or use at this point are:

The rest of my decks listed on here are either retired old Modern decks, or most likely weird unfinished EDH brews intended solely for playtesting and reference.

Said on My Muldrotha...

This is going to be a long comment, bear with me, but I still see too much of your old mimeo deck remnants in here that just don't belong. First and foremost, Muldrotha works primarily well with permanents - so you want to ideally be playing low cost planeswalekrs, creatures, enchantments and artifacts that you can replay from your graveyard. Having a little bit of mill is nice but you have a bit of unneeded stuff here - for example, you don't need extraneous spells such as traumatize, stitch together, dread summons, life/death, etc. With that you certainly don't need some of the higher end creatures such as Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger , Platinum Angel , Artisan of Kozilek , Deadeye Navigator and even Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon . Additionally you have some artifacts which make no sense, for example you don't need 3 haste enablers so cut Fleetfeather Sandals , Chromatic Lantern is kinda unnecessary and there are better 3 drop options, I think Mesmeric Orb just makes you more of a target than anything and you don't need to mill opponents, and Trailblazer's Boots adds nothing to the deck because you don't need evasion to win. Also, cut Windfall because all it does is fill your opponents graveyards and hand which is very counter to what you want. Windfall is really bad in this deck imo.

Hey yall,

Over the last few years I have worked to build 3 EDH decks which I am proud of, Karador, Atraxa and Windgrace. While these are strong and fun to play, unfortunately none are quite top tier power level. I am currently working on my fourth edh deck, which I want to be both artifact based and able to compete with the best of the best decks, my most competitive deck yet. Currently I am stuck between Arcum Daggson, Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain and possibly daretti, scrap servant. Which artifact commander do you think is the most competitive and why? Thanks for the advice :)
