NTakamura on Cards that make opponent creature …

I am trying to make a janky build that uses Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts ability to destroy creatures. I have some curses and cards like Oracle en-Vec Fight or Flightand Nettling Imp that kind of do it. Most likely by provoking them. But the card I feel best describes what I want is Alluring Siren but I would need it to be in black and white. Anything that is similar card you can possibly think of will be helpful.

In the last months, I've become a sucker for forced combat strategies. My Thantis, the Warweaver is a project of love, and I'm currently waiting for the last pieces for Saskia the Unyielding. What I'd like to build though, is an Azorius forced combat deck. I haven't found a fitting commander for that, yet. Pramikon, Sky Rampart is interesting, but feels more fitting for pillowfort. Thus, I've come up with another design for exactly that strategy:

enter image description here

Many forced combat decks already want to give creatures to their opponents. Maragar heavily leans into that, as he can be cast for cheap if our opponents control enough creatures. After that, he basically turns all of our creatures into better Alluring Sirens. In addition, Maragar is a Coastal Piracy for all players that don't hit us, so while he has no actual protection, he'll often stay on the field because he draws all players cards. And players like drawing cards.

Besides lots of tokens to goad opposing creatures, the deck would propably have plenty of cards like Hunted Lammasu, Hunted Phantasm, Akroan Horse and Forbidden Orchard, combining these with some pillowforts a la Propaganda and finishing off with more Coastal Piracy and some Flying Men. Besides combat damage, Approach of the Second Sun seems like a wincon that even works flavourwise: Are your opponents stupid enough to fall for the old "sunlight in the deep sea" trick twice? Well, they deserve to lose.

I'd love to hear your feedback on this card. Would you change anything? Is the mana cost to low or too high? Thanks for your attention.

Epicurus: There actually are some forced combat cards in these colours: Angler Turtle , Bident of Thassa , Alluring Siren , Dulcet Sirens , Siren's Call . Also, Spear of Heliod is a great card for that strategy, as is Settle the Wreckage . Especially Spear works beautifully with the design you came up with. Great job!

I like cards like these with Damia since they get her out faster and help to empty your hand once she's out: Sakura-Tribe Scout, Skyshroud Ranger, Broken Bond, Swell of Growth, Azusa, Lost but Seeking. And they all feature ladies!

You might like these too: Alexi, Zephyr Mage, Diplomatic Escort, Silverglade Pathfinder, Go for the Throat (the promo art is also nice), Alluring Siren, Complicate, Fauna Shaman, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Calming Verse, Song of Freyalise, Sheoldred, Whispering One

No problem!

I also noticed that you have Courtly Provocateur for tapping creatures, presumably through attacking. If you want to go the creature route, then Nebelgast Herald can tap them for the scion the turn it enters, or Alluring Siren can be tapped a turn before the provocateur.

As the leading lady in a burlesque troupe, I'd say Alluring Siren . Shield Dancer may have been a bit of a stretch.

Still, an upvote to you for creating the WoW; Classic of Magic the Gathering. Who am I to stop you from reliving your nostalgia

Hey, I have a similar deck to this if you're interested in checking it out. Here it is It Came from Beneath the Sea (mostly) Ver.2. It might give you some ideas. The deck is more focused around leviathan rather than Kraken though. One card I'd recommend is something like Quicksilver Amulet. With the amulet in the deck, you can take out some of your ramp and put in bigger creatures. Whelming Wave would be nice as well if the ramp wasn't in it. AEtherplasm and Alluring Siren could be nice as well.
