The core

The core is built off of Lotus Cobra making mana with fetchlands, which let's me easily cast the Winconditions in this deck. Those are Baneslayer Angel, Thrun, the Last Troll and all four swords. Also quite important are Noble Hierarchs and Birds of Paradise, because they can make turn two cobra plus a sword possible (see "How does it work?").

Removal

In a Green/White deck, there are not many good removal spells worth playing mainboard. Of course the best one, Path to Exile is in it. I thought about Condemn, Oblivion Ring and Oust , but then decided to go with the new Valorous Stance. It serves as a good removal for finishers (which are mostly big guys; 4/4 and above) or it could save one of my creature's life.

Backup / Defense

Siege Rhino helps me to stay in the battle for a bit longer. It is useful in tight fights and can deal some decent amount of damage, if it's necessary.

To deal with a control deck, I added Voice of Resurgence two times to the mainboard. It is great when it comes to counter spells. Even if the opponent does not play any control, Voice of Resurgence will die somewhere in the game and leave a, most likley stronger token on the field.

Sustain

Easy to say, sustain is quite common in this deck. Just look at Kitchen Finks or Siege Rhino. Also, if in danger, just cast a Baneslayer Angel. First strike and lifelink makes it very good against most aggro deck.

How does it work?

Tricks

With Knight of the Reliquary out, you can fetch for Sejiri Steppe at instant speed. When it enters the battlefield, it gives protection to one of your creatures.
This means, you have an instant protection spell that doesn't even cost mana.

Also funny is to equip a sword on Voice of Resurgence. It becomes a huge danger for your opponents, but if they want to get rid of it, they will have to do this in their mainphase, else you will get a token.

Card choices

Let's go through them from the first to the last.

Path to Exile - No need to explain.

Valorous Stance - Kills mighty creatures (e.g. finishers) and saves my own creatures.

Baneslayer Angel - A great finisher and if it comes to a close end, he will surely turn the tables on you.

Birds of Paradise - Ramps a bit and enables turn two cobra + any sword.

Kitchen Finks - Great against aggro. Gives 4 life.

Knight of the Reliquary - Synergy with Lotus Cobra. Fetches the unfetchable like Sejiri Steppe or Horizon Canopy.

Lotus Cobra - Core of the deck, enables turn three sword + equip + attack or turn three Baneslayer Angel.

Noble Hierarch - Ramps a bit and enables turn two cobra + any sword. Has Exalted.

Siege Rhino - Even though I don't main black, the rhino is a bomb and should be played in every deck that runs two of the three colors.
Black mana for it can be made with Birds of Paradise or Lotus Cobra.

Thrun, the Last Troll - Great finisher and very good against control decks.

Voice of Resurgence - Everyone hates it, so it's a removal-magnet. Also very good against control decks.

Steelshaper's Gift - A must when playing swords and white.
