this archetype of control is a bit strange due to the presence of the GW duo that make him a bit more midrage rather than adding some control potential but i think it's holding a powerhouse due to the high ammount of both timetaking, shutdowner and big beater he get access to such as Sigarda, Host of Herons that can shut down a Liliana of the Veil while beeing hexproofed, the Thragtusk wich everyone who played the firtst innistrad t2 know how powerfull could be with the Restoration Angel , the Baneslayer Angel just speak by himself of what he can do, Elspeth, Knight-Errant is both a good timetaker due to the token and a perfect finisher due to the 4/4 Flying soldier token that can me undestructible too and last but not least is Archangel Avacyn   wich can both turn an opponent attack in a singlesided wrath and can make the opponent question a lot if it's a good idea or not to attack and make her flip (she work almost as a wrath). on sideboard we have some of the things that may shut down some thinkgs that we can have problem against such as Utron, burn, some sort of heavy controlling deck such as esper or UWR, dredge and some bloodmoon based deck. quick analisis of the deck and the sideboard now.

we are running 22 land: a bit low for a control but we are running also 4 Noble Hierarch that ramp us up and not make that 3 land missed that big of a deal. in this compart we also find some of the most powerfull beater such as 1 Celestial Colonnade and 2 Stirring Wildwood that i prefer to the colonnade due to the cheaper activation cost.

creature department: 4 Noble Hierarch : look up there 3 Snapcaster Mage : it's simply one of the best blue creature ever printed, recycling one of our spell while having a decent attack and entering the battlefield at flash speed making us able to flashback a counter and be able to attack on the next turn? simply Amazing. not to mention it's interaction with the Restoration Angel (why use snap only once when you can restoration?) and with Cryptic Command (enter, counter/tap/draw and got bounced back to be used next turn too) 3 Restoration Angel : decent body creature, with flash but what makes this creature so strong in this deck is it's interaction with Snapcaster Mage and Thragtusk 1 Thragtusk : simply +5 health, decent beater and if you need to wrat out the board you get a free 3/3 token, work well with blink and oh jeez if he get along with elspeth. 1 Sigarda, Host of Herons : maybe the most powerfull of the 3 angelic sister of innistrad (also the only one alive on nowdays ahahah) simply a 5/5 flyer with hexproof and that also protect herself form sac effect while putting up a 5 turn clock on the opponent, all this at cost 5... 1 Baneslayer Angel like sigarda, great clock, great body, firsrstrike that is never to underestimate, some strange protection but you never know, and also lifelink... jeez if they were high that day 1 Archangel Avacyn   work both as an antiwrath and as a wrath, simply Amazing. not to mention the flash ability, Always apretiated in control deck.

istant: the counter are pretty much the standard counter that you will find in any modern control deck: 3 Mana Leak , 2 Remand and 2 Cryptic Command , not that much to say, manaleak will lose off power the more the game procede so a cryptic is Always a good backup counter. 4 Path to Exile is a the only spot removal we get with those color so there's not that much to say about, we get to remove stuff but use only if needed, is a bit hard to deal with stuff if you waste it on manadork. can also be used as a "savetheday" card in response to a wrath, giving us a land. 2 Selesnya Charm because is an a bit situational card, can give us a good blocker by the token, can save up a creature from a bolt or some stuff by the +2/+2 and also not to underestimate the exilepart that is Amazing against some infect deck and some other hyperpumper deck. 2 anyway seems pretty enought due to the high situational card it is. 4 Think Twice i slightly prefer this drawer rather than serum vision or Ancestral Vision due to the istant speed so on turn 2 you can leave 2 mana open and remand/leak or think, not to mention the incomporeted flashback that is Always nice and make the real card advantage.

enchantment 3 dention spheare due to the rise of superfriend deck just junk them off. also good against some token deck or other stuff.

sorcery 2 Supreme Verdict not that much to say, uncounterable wrat

planeswalker 1 Jace, Architect of Thought is a very wellrounded jace, can junk off by an half the damage of some winnie deck in the early, can make card advantage by the -2 and the finisher is just the finisher. 1 Elspeth, Knight-Errant just a powerhouse, protect herself and us, can make a big beater, Amazing finisher

on the side we have: 1 archangel avacyn more if we need more wrath 3 Qasali Pridemage in case of affo, bloodmoon or stuff 2 Sigarda, Heron's Grace can basicly recicle our grave in 1/1 human at istant speed, give us hexproof (Always good against some burn/ black-based control and the lanter control) 3 Nevermore just shut down some big thread "you nake it, they go away". pay attention to the decay btw 3 Rest in Peace shut down gravebased deck and combo of Utron or other stuff and also block some melira or other "return in play" stuff. remember Always if you side in this to side off the snapcaster because they counter eachother. 2 Render Silent just block combo deck like storm (they got to 11 storm then got shutted down for example) Always fun to use. i'm considing anyway to put 2 Voidslime instead due to the more flexibility agaisnt superfriends and some combo-stuff and the ability to make a singlesided tectonic for example 1 Bant Charm a bit situational, can get rid of some god if they attack or can win the counter-race with some control, also can remove some artifact if that matter. realy situational but solid card is some scenario1. list text here
