I reckon, what the deck really needs, is lots of cheap spells that can be cast on every player's turn, to get the most value out of the flurry mechanic. The game plan should be to cast Shiko and Narset, Unified on turn 4, prepare the board beforehand, and then spam small, damage-dealing spells that can easily be brought back with tricks like Underworld Breach, Lier, Disciple of the Drowned, or by recasting copies with Narset, Enlightened Exile. You could then replace draw-discard effects with more "pure" card draw options like Treasure Cruise (if you have a lot of cards in your graveyard), Quick Study or flexible draw like Flame of Anor. The main gameplay should revolve around cheap, repeatable spells, but there can also be some utility from the Magecraft mechanic. Most importantly, the deck should keep continuous pressure on opponents by dealing large amounts of damage through copying small spells.

Must have: Path to Exile, Cyclonic Rift

Useful: Cori Mountain Stalwart, Devoted Duelist, Monk of the Open Hand, Ashling, Flame Dancer, Jori En, Ruin Diver, Ledger Shredder, Smoldering Egg  Flip, Burst Lightning, Electrolyze, Virtue of Courage, Fire / Ice, Galvanic Blast, Heartflame Duelist, Ionize, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix, Lightning Strike, Magma Jet, Parch, Play with Fire, Punishing Fire, Risk Factor, Sacred Fire, Searing Spear, Shock, Skullcrack, Thunderbolt, Wild Slash

Possible: Taigam, Master Opportunist, Breeches, the Blastmaker, Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy, Rammas Echor, Ancient Shield, Storm of Saruman, Turn / Burn, Price of Progress, Finale of Promise, Increasing Vengeance, Frolicking Familiar, Molten Influence, Slaying Fire, Wizard's Lightning,

We have a similar build. Just gonna spitball some of my favorite jank:

Blood Oath has been my super secret tech for Torbran. Revealing hand is not a effect and every EDH deck is heavy in one card type. I have pulled surprise wins after Creeping Renaissance and Sunder, for example. Quite sneaky.

Molten Influence niche counterspell

Blazing Salvo, Breaking Point and Molten Influence get a nice boost.

Cave-In > Volcanic Fallout

Blood Oath same set but janky enough to work.

SufferFromEDHD love the creative ideas! Please keep them coming!

Agree completely on Breaking Point. I ordered one after you suggested it because it's so good. I'm still running Fault Line in its place for now only because it basically says "destroy most creatures AND do twice that damage to each opponent". But I may end up putting it in for Pyrohemia.

Molten Influence is a perfect fit card for a spellslinger burn deck like this one. No one wants to play Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend effects more than I do! I did end up cutting those for ramp and card draw because I kept running out of gas. So Molten Influence would be a great fit if there was more room for interaction. I think decks without Thrumming Stone can run far fewer Dragon's Approach for a more resilient game but I don't mind if this is glass cannon build.

I go back and forth on Dragon Mage! I was just tinkering with it again this morning. I love the upside but hate that it takes a turn to get going. And I also haven't figured out the correct number of dragons. Even in this deck I only see 1 or 2 activations before the game is over, only 1 in 5 ar best see a third. Maybe I'll try it in place of Commune with Lava which also takes a turn to leverage.

Agree that Solemn Simulacrum is a bit clunky. I justified it because Turn 4 robot guarantees Turn 5 Solphim with an indestructibility counter. I'll try out Endless Atlas.

Thank you for sharing!

It's a great deck as it is. I was merely spitballing ideas because it got my creative juices flowing. Only pushback I'm gonna give is on Breaking Point and Molten Influence.

Wrath of God or 12 damage for 3 mana while your commander has indestructible is too much value. So one sided.

Flusterstorm or 8 damage is a hefty tax against the control player.

The rest are kind of meh.

Dragon Mage > Magus of the Wheel

Endless Atlas > Solemn Simulacrum

Breaking Point, Browbeat, Blazing Salvo, Molten Influence, Skullscorch the rattle snake cards get a serious boost alongside Solphim.

Expedition Map to get that Valakut.

Gamble get whatever you need.

Bonus Round win the game.

Final Fortune possibly, maybe?

Harness the Storm similar jank to Pyromancer Ascension that has no place in EDH but Dragon's Approach turns it into an engine.

Browbeat is awesome. No love for Breaking Point? Wrath of God or 12 damage for 3 is brutal and of course Solphim will survive.

Molten Influence is a narrow but solid counterspell.

Even Blazing Salvo becomes interesting.
