V.40 - REFINED
EMPARAWR, 8 years ago
MAIN BOARD
-1 Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary >>>> +1 Elvish Visionary
-1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn >>>> +1 Elvish Visionary
-1 Immaculate Magistrate >>>> +1 Elvish Visionary
-1 Joraga Warcaller >>>> +1 Elvish Visionary
-1 Helix Pinnacle >>>> +1 Viridian Longbow
-4 Forest >>>> +4 Cavern of Souls
SIDE BOARD
-2 Jagged-Scar Archers >>>> +1 Helix Pinnacle, +1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
-1 Viridian Longbow >>>> +1 Nullmage Shepherd
-4 Cavern of Souls >>>> +1 Immaculate Magistrate, +1 Joraga Warcaller, +2 Relic of Progenitus
So the biggest change in this version, is I moved all 4 of the win condition cards to the sideboard and then moved Viridian Longbow to the mainboard as it requires the least card slots in order to score a win once the deck hits its combo. Honestly the odds of somebody having an answer to any 1 of this decks win conditions, let alone 2 or more is highly unlikely. So it makes sense to just have the simplest 1 in the mainboard. Since they were just moved to the sideboard though they are still options depending on what deck you are going up against.
I also took out Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary because in version 14 I took out 4 of the forests for 4 Mutavault bringing the Forest count down to only 10, so his ability to produce mana was already not as high as it once was anyways. So I took him out to clear out a slot and to be able to add 4 Cavern of Souls back into the deck to help protect against counterspell decks.
Then with the 4 remaining card slots I had available I added in 4 Elvish Visionary. They are on the low end for CMC, they add to the total elves on the board count needed for the combo to go off, and they put another card right back into my hand in order to try to combo out even faster.
Regarding the sideboard, it contains all the optional win conditions. Also I wanted a third Nullmage Shepherd because when you need those, you really really need them.

Card Draw Fix
Jarvus_Osworn, 8 years ago
Swapped Gitaxian Probe for Faithless Looting as you see more cards and it won't cost me life I might need on Madcap Experiment.
Finalized List (for now)

Done changing this deck up until Kaladesh comes out.
Sideboard Changes and a Hopeful Addition
MrZoichi, 8 years ago
I changed up the sideboard a bit; wanted to try out some cards and see how they perform. Also, new Chandra looks promising for this deck. Add more mana, psuedo-card-draw or damage, free Flame Slash, and an insane ultimate ability seem like good things to have in this deck. We'll see soon!
List Change
MTGApprentice2016, 8 years ago
Ok so this list just got a massive overhaul and will hopefully be ready to do far better than it's first incarnation. Still a bit of a learning curve on the color but I think I've got a solid list here.

Swapped Puzzle Box for Chaosphere (I had forgotten that was still in there; it's a bit of fun, buy it helps opponent's decks way more than it helps this one). Chaosphere is almost as whacky, but actually helps the deck since has 0 flyers. - CONSIDERING: Swapping Fork with Dualcaster Mage. It's one mana more, but since fork if rarely used anyways, it might be better for the creature trigger.
Inspiration
ghowe, 8 years ago
I accidentally found a link to Tots deck Humans and Counters and saw some cards I could relate with! Citadel Siege was the biggest addition and their deck also confirmed my intuition about Inspiring Call. The biggest difference is that I'm trying to keep a lower curve so I'm avoiding the 4-6 drops in their deck, although I'm liking Elite Scaleguard..
Bone Saw
Acmegamewerks, 8 years ago
After consideration I have added 4 Bone Saw and removed 2 Bonesplitter and completely removed Stoneforge Masterwork. I think this will make the deck go faster along with Sigarda's Aid.

Trading Pacifist for Messenger
PhantasmFiend, 8 years ago
Decided to test the deck with a set of Village Messenger Flip in place of Lampholt Pacifist. I want to see how turns out since pacifist seems to clog my hand when i have something else I'd rather play that can attack the next turn. Hope fully I like it. I might add in another copy of Shrill Howler Flip, but I don't know yet. I think it is a good card.
Card updates

Trying out the Hanweir Garrison Meld meld pair. I mostly wanted to play it in one of my EDH decks after opening them both but it's also a really nice early game token generator so that's fine.
Looking at getting an Eldritch Evolution into the deck, another good cheap way to craterhoof out or tutor up other good utility creatures.
Looking at working on that manabase for more consistent land draws. Nothing specific atm.

Testing Postmortem Lunge
Xirion11, 8 years ago
I've been testing Postmortem Lunge and I must say that I think it's too conditional. It is true that sometimes when you have no creatures on your side the opponent might be too confident and tap everything and you can give the final strike next turn with Postmortem Lunge but most of the time it just sits on your hand for many turns not really providing anything to your play. Most of the time I was wishing I had a pump spell or maybe a forest so I could do more.
Took the deck down for major revision
Nick+, 8 years ago
This deck was first built around Green/Black, but then I saw a deck on youtube called "Turbo Reclamation" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF_tOeQHub0). That deck also uses Splendid Reclamation, but is Green/Blue. I've changed the deck to a Green/Blue deck to have access to Contingency Plan. I removed Vessel of Nascency because it often milled Splendid Reclamation. The core mechanics of the deck are still the same, playing creatures who get bigger with time or lands and Emrakul, the Promised End. To protect these creatures I've included Negate and Void Grafter.
Suggestions to improve this deck are much appreciated.
