I have more Supreme Verdict and another Mizzium Mortars. I took out the Planar Cleansing and the Magma Jet

Added 3x Deputy of Acquittals in the sideboard to help cope with edict-based removal, which is a big problem for this deck; cheap flash creatures are the only real way to limit sacrifice effects to a 1-for-1. Might do 4x. Also added some Hands of Binding as in combination with Blind Obedience it absolutely destroys the game plan for green ramp and opposing aggro.

Replaced Figure of Destiny for Champion of the Parish. Made it so i could focus mana on spells and not pumping up multiple creatures.
Deck Reformat
MickTheSculptor, 11 years ago
So, after a few losses and a concerned friend later, we rebuilt my deck with my same idea in mind. My problem, however, and I knew it was, was the fact that most of my deck relied on 1/1 creatures. So, with reanimation in mind, and the fact that I had recently purchased a playset of Exhume

Artisan's Sorrow, Karametra's Acolyte, Agent of Horizons, Battlewise Valor, Defend the Hearth, Fleetfeather Sandals, Guardians of Meletis, Prescient Chimera, Ray of Dissolution, Vaporkin, Mountain
Pick: Vaporkin

Traded Splatter Thug for Firefist Striker to lower the mana cost. Also removed a frontline medic and a Gods Willing for two Swift Justice. The card is versatile and can be used as a combat trick. It's main purpose however is life gain, as this deck lacks in effective defence. It also helped pushing the mana cost down even further.

The deck went a disappointing 2-2. It played well but there were some key matchups I didn't have an answer for. One of these was Ashiok- bottom line I need more than 2 Hero's downfall. Another was supreme verdict, which I have added rootborn defenses to the sideboard to counteract. I didn't have the Desecration Demon during the tournament either. Overall I'm not sire what else to change
Minor Changes
Skyfolk, 11 years ago
I replaced some cards in my deck until I can acquire some of the cards I couldn't buy this month. So I took out the Vivid lands, Tempt with Vengeance, Yavimaya Hollow and Mayael's Aria. I've temporarily replaced them with Transguild Promenade, Rupture Spire, Temple of the False God, Vesuva, Tempt with Discovery and Wurmcoil Engine.
Updates thus far
PostPwned, 11 years ago
So I have not done many updates via this deck list but I will say that Divination was considered and I found quicken to fit my play style a lot better. Council of the Absolute has been added in for the Mono black and Esper match ups. Heros downfall hurts my walkers a lot and named down fall off a council leaves them with a dead card. Ultimate price doesn't touch a council and Esper boards out board wipes game 2. Pithing needle as well as council can also name whip, or under city connections for black, and naming revelation or detention sphere for the epser mirror is also super hurtful. I plan to play test both match ups with Council in the SB and ill get back with how I felt the card preformed.

-4 Banisher Priest -1 Imposing Sovereign +2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride +3 Frontline Medic
I've found that Banisher Priest is not as useful as Frontline Medic in my metagame, made up of mostly aggro matchups and control-with a few midrange decks here and there- but Frontline Medic makes it impossible to block profitably and applies more pressure, being more that a 3 mana 2/2, it has more relevant text also.
Ajani just applies tons of pressure and helps to push damage, and it also adds another out in board stolls to push through damage.

Nykthos
CardsAndStuff, 11 years ago
Added 2xNykthos, Shrine to Nyx. They've been incredible in testing. They help get a last push through with squeezing out a Regal Force or even win me the game after topdecking a Hoof.

give me your comment

After realizing that Reckless Charge is better than Crimson Wisps, Reckless Charge is now in. Turn 1 win now possible (although the moons of Jupiter must align all the same.)

Need a cull from 70 to 60. Thoughts?
This TRULY MUST, MUST BE Defeated Now!
mklump, 11 years ago
@AngryBearTony, Femme_Fatale, user:Magicrafter, enpc, and all who wish to know more.
You asked for it, so here it is:
http://www.klump-pdx.com/images/Artifacts_Challenge_Casual/ picture image list. The prize is listed there, and if I am actually defeated best 2 out of 3 of a fair casual match so I have a chance to respond with my side board.
I prefer to be challenged in person so I can see your cards.
Only one casual construct rule applies for this Artifacts Challenge Casual - build the best deck you can find with four copies of one named card limit except basic lands for your 60 card deck...
As I said before, this deck has defied its own existence and now must be destroyed.
@enpc The reason for Research / Development is to bring about absolutely absolutely the worst grand finale conceivable by an extra handful of about 45 cards or so that are, yes, actual meant to directly shuffle into my deck after time has stopped from a Time Vault+Voltaic Key combination that has occurred.
After the time stop combination has occurred, the infinite mana of any color is brought about by 1xMycosynth Lattice + 4xVoltaic Key + 2xCandelabra of Tawnos + 1xSynod Artificer + many, many played artifacts + 1xTolarian Academy. Only one Tolarian Academy will be played here because only one specific named legendary card may be in play at anytime on either side.
The result of such a grand finale is so explosive, self detonating, and self destructive, that the result ends in a draw.
It is nearly the worst most ruthless deck ever brought into existence, it is forfeited, and it must be stopped at all costs.
Well, there you have it.
Take good care, and I wish you luck!...
Update to update:
The deck MUST NOW TRULY BE DEFEATED because the three CONSPIRACIES that were now added 2xBackup Plan and Worldknit!
Starting now:
These three conspiracy cards will always be played giving me the pick of three hands of seven cards before drawing, and also mana of any color from lands each turn! Please you must, must defeat this deck and take your card prize! I know that I know you can DO this! Thank you!
-Matthew
My name is Matthew.
My contact info is [email protected]
P.S. - Playing with conspiracies means you’re playing all the cards you first picked in your 60 card deck, either in your main deck, or in the command zone because they are conspiracies like Worldknit. It looks at the gamestate right before you draw your opening hand, so it just means you’re playing everything in your main 60 card deck with no sideboard for the match of best 2/3 casual games. You don’t have to mulligan to zero or anything silly like that.

Rule compliance update
mklump, 11 years ago
This deck, and every other EDH/Commander deck listed here follow strictly the rules listed for the Online MTG rules for Commander format list at [http://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Resources.aspx?x=magic/rules/100cardsingleton-commander] that explicitly leaves out the original EDH Rule 6 found here [http://mtgcommander.net/rules.php] that declares no one shall have more than one card of a single name translated into english excluding basic lands in their deck. The Online Rules explicitly ignore that because Rule 6 eliminates the robustness of truely limitless possibilities of card combinations from happening for that exact purpose to allow back in diverse card combinations, thank you.
