Reflections of Littjara

Enchantment

As Reflections of Littjara enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.

Whenever you cast a spell on the chosen type, copy that spell. (A copy of a permanent spell becomes a token.)

It's missing some tribal staple cards that will really make a difference in a pinch. Most notably I'd reference Herald's Horn, Kindred Dominance, Mana Echoes (can go infinite with Sliver Queen), Patriarch's Bidding and Kindred Discovery. Maybe Reflections of Littjara as well. Heroic Intervention would be a nice wipe-prevention spell (next to Teferi's Protection).

Excellent Commander choice, Inalla, Archmage Ritualist is my undisputed favorite Commander, and perhaps my most powerful decklist.

The main wincons I'm using in my list are lines through Spellseeker and/or Micromancer which ends up creating infinite Archaeomancer or Scholar of the Ages Tokens after like 15 or 20 steps with a series of Instants and Sorceries (I can teach you, if you feel like learning all of it). I'm also running Dualcaster Mage + Heat Shimmer & Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation.

Some trigger doublers like Naban, Dean of Iteration, Harmonic Prodigy, Panharmonicon & Virtue of Knowledge could go a long way, too. Not necessarily doublers, but Archmage of Echoes, Molten Echoes & Reflections of Littjara have a similar effect.

Venser, Shaper Savant is a must in budget Inalla. I'd also consider Patron Wizard, Sigil Tracer & Voidmage Prodigy if your intention is to run a crapload of Wizard creatures. In my experience, though, Inalla doesn't actually need that many Wizards, just the right ones.

Here's my own Inalla, Archmage Ritualist list if you wanna peep it: MICROSEEKER (INALLA)

Cool deck :D

Reflections of Littjara and Konda's Banner are both great tribal cards, as well as Coat of Arms but that can get a but pricey.

Also, new from Wilds of Eldraine, Moonshaker Cavalry, great way to close out GoWide games

GHoag here is what I am considering: What would I take out for Reflections of Littjara? In powerful commander games it is important to have plenty of ramp, interaction, and a low average cmc. I personally wouldn't sub anything for Reflections. Unesh does really well at looking at cards in the deck, and the odds of finding my value engines quickly is high. I think dedicating 3 slots in the deck for this redundancy is too much. If you see 2 out of 3 of these in your opening hand its likely a mulligan in cEDH. If you see 2 out of 2 its the same story but more unlikely.

For the same reasons as above you shouldn't play too many, if you want the deck to be stronger. You need enough cheap creatures/spells to keep Unesh's ability rolling and that's it, no less. But also, no more because the deck has to fit other cards to be more powerful.

BTW more revisions will certainly be coming this month.

GHoag I think it is wise to go with Gauntlet of Power over Reflections of Littjara. More so I think it is even better to choose newly printed Virtue of Knowledge in this slot.

Here is a bit of a rambling explanation of all the reasons: The key thing turning me off from Reflections is that you have to name a creature type when it ETB's. Mostly you want to pick Sphinxes, so most of the time you don't benefit by having infinite Palinchrons. Virtue of Knowledge doesn't have that requirement for the same CMC, and also it combos with Palinchron. Also, there is the adventure cost on the card. I think it is easy to call this cute but I actually think it could be awesome. The adventure can copy a fetchland ability in the early game (it is cheaper to use than Wayfarer's Bauble). Using adventure mode on the card is also a cheaper way to net mana with Palinchron or even Frantic Search; although it would be single use I can imagine a situation where that might be the kicker to win the game. This is versatility that Reflections and Guantlet do not have. Although Reflections does help with beat down, beat down is not the strongest strategy in the deck, especially since a few of our sphinxes are meek changelings. The two cards are also equal on blue devotion.

Debatably this card is even better than Panharmonicon itself. The text Virtue of Knowledge allows triggers for any permanent entering the battlefield while Panharmonicon is only artifacts and creatures. This deck doesn't make use of that right now, but it could become important later on. Also Panharmonicon doesn't have another mode.

TLDR; I think the pros for Virtue of Knowledge are better or equal to Reflections of Littjara in every way except for beat down, which isn't the most important strategy for Unesh. Furthermore if I was forced to choose between Virtue of Knowledge and Panharmonicon, I might even pick Virtue. Luckily I don't have to choose right now...

GHoag, don't discredit yourself! I couldn't have made nearly as many decisions without our pleasant discourse.

I will Ponder the artifact tutors for now (lol). I Anticipate them to be unnecessary because with infinite mana you will most likely be able to get through your deck to find Aetherflux anyway (okay I'll stop).

Reflections of Littjara is really a great card with Palinchron because in addition to making infinite mana it makes an arbitrarily large army of Palinchrons, and I love that. I will definitely be considering this card more once I think of the best cards to cut for it. It might actually be worth to cut Gauntlet of Power if there is nothing better to cut. It's utility as a back up to Panharmonicon is another upside. I wish it could be hit by Scholar of the Lost Trove, but you can't win 'em all I suppose.

GHoag, it's not often I hear of someone actually processing what I have to say which is refreshing, thank you! When thinking of cards to put in, it is also important to think of which cards come out as a result.

Reflections of Littjara is a card I haven't considered before. This would definitely be a fun card to test out! Drawbacks: it is a little more mana expensive, its not an artifact so it doesn't synergize with Scholar of the Lost Trove. Benefits: Panharmonicon redundancy, MORE BUFF CREATURES ON THE BOARD, higher devotion. Battle damage is not insignificant in this deck, so I would give this card a fair shot. You could try replacing Treachery, Extraplanar Lens, Leyline of Anticipation. I chose these cards because in my testing these cards seem to be clunky. Treachery is mana expensive and not garunteed to land because opponents will typically counter or remove if they can. Extraplanar Lens also feels particularly bad if it gets removed. Leyline of anticipation feels pretty bad most of the time, I end up pitching it to Force of Will more than I play it.

Emergence Zone actually seems like it could be a more accessible Leyline of Anticipation. Definitely worth playtesting with it in the deck in place of an Island.

I have thought about the Isochron Scepter/Dramatic Reversal combo a lot. The thing I really dislike about it is that it takes up 2 slots, and you don't always have both at the same time. Dramatic reversal isn't particularly good because you will not usually have a lot of artifacts to untap. It's best use in this deck would be to give your sphinx's fake vigilance. Using Isochron with Mystical Tutor is a more interesting thought however, but then again it is still 2 slots. Maybe Isochron is good having a counterspell on it every now and then too. I have never been able to figure out what to take out for the scepter, because it's not good on its own. Drawing it in your opening hand during a competitive game feels really bad.

I will have to try some of these cards when I get the opportunity! Thank you so much for your contribution! Feel free to bounce any other questions you have off me :)
