Always nice to see your new ideas Crow_Umbra! Looks great, nice balance and excellent resourcing. This might not be worth considering, but since you're explicitly mentioning aggro, would it make sense to drop Odric, Lunarch Marshal in here? After all, you've already got Concerted Effort so he could be nice redundancy (even though he isn't any of the classes you aim to add). Also, wouldn't Nalia de'Arnisefoil be a fantastic way to keep casting your army from the top of your library?

Yeah, I was a bit confused about what you were asking for because spells like Guided Strike that are used to influence combat situations are what are typically called "combat tricks". I didn't clue in that you might have meant meant creatures with combat related triggered abilities until after I had already posted.

In naya colours, some creatures with notable combat related abilities include:

(3 or less mana) - Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Arabella, Abandoned Doll, Jacked Rabbit, Kellan, Daring Traveler, Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd, Syr Faren, the Hengehammer, Tilonalli's Summoner, Arni Metalbrow, Breeches, Eager Pillager, Combat Celebrant, Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Laelia, the Blade Reforged, Mirri, Weatherlight Duelistfoil, Ogre Battlecaster, Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon.

(Over 3 mana) Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Odric, Master Tactician, Hero of Bladehold, Ilharg, the Raze-Boar, Kogla, the Titan Ape, Aurelia, the Warleader.

Honestly, there are a ton of useful options that I didn't list. It all depends on what sort of deck you want to build.

Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second is a good token commander for a budget. She can turn any type of token into a creature instead, and cards like Raise the Alarm or Hordeling Outburst feel a lot more impactful when they are spitting out 3/1s. If you have Requiem Angel on the board then every one of your cat or dog tokens replaces itself when it dies, which combos to give you infinite creatures to sac if you also happen to have a free sac outlet on the board.

Samut, Voice of Dissent is a few bucks to buy but I had a pretty good deck built around her in the past. Since she has so many keywords you run her with Odric, Lunarch Marshal to amplify the damage your creatures are dealing. Samut giving haste makes Etali, Primal Storm a much more viable inclusion. Her untap ability can let you ramp even more with creatures like Somberwald Sage, get extra protection out of Skrelv, Defector Mite, or let you drop a second creature onto the board with Oviya, Automech Artisan. She offers support for several different playstyles so if you get tired of playing the deck one way you can change it up to focus on a different angle of gameplay.

I could probably slot in Assassin's Trophy in the place of Beast Within. And I've thought about Divine Reckoning before, but I've found that a full board wipe has often been more useful than all but one creature.

Ripples of Undeath seems like it would fit this deck, but I agree, it does run a little slow. I wouldn't replace Sylvan Library with it, but maybe one of my 'ramp' cards like Grapple with the Past or Winding Way. I'm actually working on getting a copy of this card, so I'll slot it in and play a couple rounds and see how it flows.

Not sure how I missed Bleeding Effect, it does seem like a better Odric, Lunarch Marshal. I'll have to play around with adding that in too.

As for Shrike Force, it's a little too vanilla for me. And my issue with Ketramose, the New Dawn is that I can't stand the checkered flag set symbol haha. That, and his additional abilities don't really synergize well with the rest of the deck. I've tried to curate my creatures to be both a good source of keywords and also be effective on the field if Kathril gets sidelined for any reason.

I was wondering your thoughts on Assassin's Trophy, & Divine Reckoning as removal, Shrike Force for double strike, Ketramose, the New Dawn for menace & indestructible, Ripples of Undeath for milling and a sylvan library type effect, and Bleeding Effect as an alternate wincon?

Assassin's Trophy seems like an easy replacement for a Beast Within, and I like Divine Reckoning's utility of being able to be flashed back in case I mill it. Having more sources of indestructible and double strike counters seems good, but the creatures lack useful utility on their own. Trying to decide if Ripples of Undeath is too slow or not. As for Bleeding Effect, it seems like a better Odric, Lunarch Marshal effect that works perfect for our graveyard.

Flarhoon13 on Saskia keeps hitting

Saskia keeps hitting lost. I tried to kill two players with a giant attack. I had 4 trampling 3/3 Tyranids from Tyranid Invasion. I had named Cam, on Yarok, the Desecrated, with my Saskia. I attacked Seth with three of the Tyranids plus my commander, sending the final 3/3 at Will on Kyler, Sigardian Emissary humans, triggering my Windbrisk Heights to cast my hidden away City on Fire but alas, Cam had an Assassin's Trophy for my damage tripler. I was never really a factor after that attempt to hit Seth for 36 and Cam for over 100; and quickly got taken out. Cam and Will duked it out and I think Will won thanks to a giant Kyler, Sigardian Emissary giving his lifelinking squad--keyword shared by Odric, Lunarch Marshal--a massive boost.

I mean obviously hexproof and indestructible are a must. Probably want vigilance so it can be a blocker on the crackbacks. I'd assume the next best is trample so you can constantly throw damage through as you build it up.

Sort of toolbox. Really I just copied most of the keywords from Odric, Lunarch Marshal.


Let's see a Commander who wants you to play spells with mana value 6 or greater.

It can't have built in cost reduction, and I would prefer it to be built in a way that it doesn't just becomes another Eldrazi-matters clone

Hi, I was curious about this deck so I played a few test-games with it. Mostly I was wondering whether it had enough momentum. After five test-games I found that it might be a bit lacking on this front. This is not surprising since it doesn't carry that many ramp/mana source cards. In terms of additional draw, it could also use some work.

For mana/ramp, I'd recommend Delighted Halfling, Birds of Paradise, Burgeoning, Exploration, Nature's Lore and/or Three Visits. For additional draw/filtering, perhaps cards like Mirri's Guile, Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top or Sylvan Library.

It's also easier to share abilities between creatures when you include Odric, Lunarch Marshal. Good luck with this brew.
