Noble Benefactor

Creature — Human Cleric

When Noble Benefactor is put into a graveyard from play, each player may search his or her library for a card and put that card into his or her hand. Then each player who searched his or her library this way shuffles it.

Nice deck! Another cheap tutoring option is Noble Benefactor, although it could be useless if you're up against combo players...

Thanks for the suggestions. I was eyeing Skinrender as well. It would be good against indestructible stuff, but would require multiple ETBs to take something out. I could probably part with Noble Benefactor as well, and may not need another tutor.

That should do it! I just need to cram in the last artifact for more combo goodness.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of group hug cards, with few exceptions, so I would say Noble Benefactor has to go. It feels too risky playing against other decks and handing them a free card from their own deck to combo you with or for them to drop a Worldspine Wurm on the field that they were ramping for etc.

Consider Diabolic Intent as a replacement for him.

Definitely throw in Lord of the Accursed ; That card looks like a must have.

As to what to replace with him: I can see where it is useful and it might even take out a commander if you're lucky, however I would consider replacing Skinrender . I don't know how valuable the -3/-3 is to you in a multiplayer game other than the aforementioned taking out a commander like Rashmi, Eternities Crafter or etc. Just something to consider; Your deck looks so solid it's really hard to take out stuff. xD

bernardofox, I guess I'm kind of confused by your answer. You don't necessarily need to have enchantment tutors to run an enchantment, as you're already running 8 other enchantments.

Talisman of Creativity is the right colours, but your suggestions was great as I forgot those new ones were created. I will definitely have to look into ordering one of those!

As to Trinket Mage , that's an interesting idea you have there to be a tutor for that Astral Cornucopia , which would also work on the Everflowing Chalice already in the deck. I was also considering Noble Benefactor as a replacement as it can tutor up anything I need at that particular time. What are your thoughts on this idea?

Hey there not sure if this will help the lack of gas problem, but you can try it out.

Narset, Parter of Veils only allows opponents to draw one card and then you can play cards like Windfall , Day's Undoing , Magus of the Jar , and Teferi's Puzzle Box to reload your hand but then have your opponents discard their hands and only draw one—-or in the case of Prosperity or Minds Aglow there is no discarding but then you can reload your hand while opponents only get to draw one card. If you do decide to go this route I would suggest one or two tutors for Narset herself and for the instant and sorceries that Wheel and deal. Noble Benefactor is a janky—huggy option for a tutor, and then there are cards like Muddle the Mixture (can get any spell of 3cmc or Mystical Tutor . I cant recall any tutors for green and blue that can get any planeswalkers.

Anyway, hope my suggestion helps. It’s slightly off theme from the sea monsters but it could be a good sub-theme for you to try. Plus the wheel and deals can get ripped straight from Chaos Wand as well.

My only other suggestion if you dont like the wheel and deal + Narset route is to invest in Sylvan Library , Mirri's Guile , or Sensei's Divining Top + Thassa, God of the Sea .

You don't really have the feel of a group hug deck here. A few cards you are running are group-huggish, like Veteran Explorer , Orzhov Advokist , and Kami of the Crescent Moon . Otherwise, you are running more of a pillowfort deck, where you are trying to incentivise others to attack players other than yourself.

If you want to go group-hug, you should consider running cards like Rites of Flourishing , Eladamri's Vineyard , Magus of the Vineyard , Howling Mine , Noble Benefactor , Dictate of Kruphix , Awakening , and cards such as these that really benefit the rest of the table, along with yourself. Its ok to run group-hug alongside a pillowfort strategy, but you don't have much group-hug going on right now that I can see.
