Description

Absolutely, without a doubt, the most fun I've ever had playing Magic is with this deck. As is readily apparent, there are no win conditions here.

With this deck I just want to be an enabler. Give everyone at the table the tools they need to develop their decks the way they originally set them up to develop. Nobody gets mana-screwed and nobody fizzles out due to lack of cards in their hand.

Everyone should pretty much leave me alone because I 'am' being the enabler, and if they do fire a volley or two my way, I have some defense-only creatures to block any half-hearted attempts to throw damage my way.

I should hang around for a good part of the game and meanwhile everyone is having loads of fun, lots of laughs, and for me at least, no pressure to try and win.

I run a very similar deck myself. It's called "Stop fighting friends!" and has plenty similar issues to you with the no win con thing. It doesn't help to have a friend in the playgroup who just naturally focuses group hug decks simply because they help other people out. My personal end goal with the deck is too achieve what I call world peace, which is to force a draw. In many cases, I force a draw by literally forcing everyone to draw out their entire decks with minds aglow, while tripling everyone's mana and untapping it with awakening. lol (Of course they ahve to agree to it but that is the point after all, most players need to agree to be peaceful, to have true world peace.) It has actually achieved world peace multiple times now which is awesome. Anyways, sorry for the lengthy rant just wanted to give some moral support to a fellow no wincon user. p.s. your deck has given me some ideas for my own, so thanks.

It's weird to see a Phelddagrif deck that's the opposite of mine. I run an aura voltron deck that's the scourge of my play group with him as the commander. There's literally no reason for him to be the commander, but Phelddagrif was the card that got me into the game. My friends showed me this game had a winged hippo in it and I couldn't NOT play it after that.

I should probably keep this relevant by adding in some kind of suggestion... Mystic Barrier? Maybe you could keep people in line with the threat of curse cards like Curse of Exhaustion?

Sorry, seeing other people play Phelddagrif makes me sentimental...

Wow. I really need to try this deck. Whenever I play Magic with my friends it's all serious and all about who can get the best win cons and win the most. I need to try this deck for a change!
