1 I cast Mairsil, the Pretender exiling Demonmail Hauberk with a cage counter. It's my only creature. Can I sacrifice Mairsil to try to equip it to itself? Can I sacrifice another creature to try to equip him to himself?

Just a note: the Gatherer page seems to state that you can activate equip abilities, but Mairsil doesn't attach.

2 If Maersil exiles Figure of Destiny can it become the 8/8 Kithkin Spirit (eventually)?

3 If he exiles Kazandu Tuskcaller, can he tap to make 2 Elephants even though he has no level counters? Also, if I cast Venerated Teacher will Maersil gain level counters?

4 If he copies Mischievous Quanar can he facedown himself?

5 If Maersil exiles Myr Welder and Prototype Portal with Cage Counters. Can he use Prototype Portal to copy cards he exiled with Myr Welder's Imprint?

I'd swap out Blaze for Fanning the Flames. It lets you recur the burn, and build it bigger & brighter. Spell Burst, Reiterate, Forbid, and Capsize are all solid choices for recurring spells, as are Arc Blade and Reality Strobe, getting more bang for your buck, as it were. not sure if I'd run all (or even that many of) them, but figured I'd point them out.

you seem to be excessively interested in the opponent's hands, with all the Peek cards you have. I'd probably swap them for better drawing options - Sleight of Hand, Telling Time, Opt, Peer Through Depths, Serum Visions and Think Twice all seem like better fitting options here.

For enchantments, wondering why not run Jace's Sanctum or Cast Through Time. hell, Arcane Melee works for opponents also, but you will probably be getting better mileage out of it.

for creatures, I figured I should mention Thing in the Ice  Flip, Guttersnipe, Mischievous Quanar, Curious Homunculus, Gelectrode, Augur of Bolas, Djinn Illuminatus, and Galvanoth.

lastly, Recoup for an earlier version of Past in Flames that's single target, Mizzix's Mastery because holy overload batman, and Increasing Vengeance because if its worth casting, its worth casting more than once.

Thanks for the comment. Great find with the Djinn / Pact! My only question is how would you get around the hefty cost per 4/4 giant on your upkeep? I suppose pair it with Purphoros, God of the Forge or his own weapon Hammer of Purphoros to give them haste. Red loves to gamble :)

Hmm.. the 7 cards I would remove would be peripheral combos less likely to appear in any given game, or those with less of an intertwined synergy with the rest of the deck.

Siege of Towers, Koth of the Hammer, Mischievous Quanar, Worldgorger Dragon, Mirrorworks, Master Transmuter, and Mana Geyser is probably where I'd start, but I would leave it open ended to adjust according to your playgroup. You may find Mirrorworks to be useful as a standalone regardless of its triage with Master Transmuter & Ugin's Nexus.

Torrent Elemental is a good value card for that one big attack.

Cuombajj Witches should be pretty funny.

Mizzium Meddler can steal an enchantment or sorcery/instant meant for somebody and gives you a card as he becomes the target. You can also steal targeting with Redirect, Willbender, Mischievous Quanar and Chromeshell Crab (you can trade creatures before a spell lands and the target stays the same).

Prosperity would be a cheap way to refill your hand.

Spellskite would be hilarious but its $20.

Follow me, here:

Attack with Argothian Elder. It is now an attacking creature.

Tap Maze of Ith, targeting Argothian Elder. Argothian Elder untaps, BUT is still an attacking creature.

Tap Argothian Elder, untapping Maze of Ith and one other land.

Maze of Ith can now be tapped again, and as Argothian Elder is still an attacking creature, it is still a valid target for Maze of Ith.

Repeat as many times as you like.

Now all of this is done during your combat phase, so whatever you do with that mana or land-untapping has to work at instant speed. But there's a lot you can still do. If Squirrel Nest is attached to a land, you can use it to make a hundred thousand squirrel tokens. Or you could use Chord of Calling and Mischievous Quanar to put every creature in the deck onto the battlefield. Pemmin's Aura or Freed from the Real can be used to translate infinite mana into infinite untapping of a creature, which make Kazandu Tuskcaller or Stuffy Doll a lot more fun. If you threw in Helix Pinnacle you also could throw a hundred counters on it all at once, and then so long as you're alive the next turn, you probably won the game.

There's really a lot of possibilities, even at instant speed.
