Apex of Power Discussion

Thank you so much for putting this deck together. I've been wanting to make a Zada deck for some time now and finally did utilizing yours as a foundation. Obviously all play groups will be a little different and as such decks will need to be modified to meet the differing demands. Never the less, I was hoping to get your input on a few different cards.
First Bonus Round from Battlebond and copy spells in general. Works great with many cards in the deck, especially rituals.
Second Apex of Power from M19. It does come with a steep mana cost but has a strong effect when you do cast it. More than once I have found myself "storming" off, but only with producing mana while not managing to get cards. It's not terribly often, but does. This could really help in those situations.
Last is Mana Echoes when combined with a fire ball effect. Producing 20+ goblin tokens in a round is not a hard task. I've been using mana echoes with a fireball as an alternate win. Vomit out 20 goblins and your looking at 400 mana. All you need is a single red and people will burn.
Hope to hear your input on these cards.

Am I getting something wrong with adept? The spell still resolves and is put into the graveyard, except when the spell says different. So you don't just cast a copy, you cast the spell. Which means you'll still have to find nexus to cast it over and over again. Apex of Power might actually be more interesting with adept.

Majestic_Clown thanks for checking in on it. In all honesty my Marath Says No deck has been the center of my focus lately. Unfortunately there have not been many cards from the new sets that can keep up with the already blistering speed of my Neheb deck.
I am also looking at a few cards:
Dark-Dweller Oracle has really caught my eye as a "draw card" engine but I haven't found the slot for it.
Howling Golem looks good in a slightly slower version but you do risk giving your opponents interaction.
Loyal Apprentice will find a slot for sure but I have to decide where.
Treasure Nabber is obviously very powerful but I'm not convinced on where it falls in the tempo of things.
Expedite could find a slot for it's simple cycling and would serve as another haste giver that can be later flashed back.
Coveted Jewel is almost good enough.

@xJonahSlayerx: Yeah, card draw and removal are definitely key. For card advantage, Apex of Power, Dark-Dweller Oracle, Mind's Eye, Outpost Siege, Reforge the Soul and Skullclamp. For removal, I'm running Aligned Hedron Network, Blasphemous Act, Burn at the Stake, By Force, Goblin Bombardment and Vandalblast among others. Try sorting the deck by custom categories to see everything I have under Card Advantage and Removal.
@Shinkusenshi: I used to run Goblinslide in the early days of this deck. I really liked the idea of Goblinslide, but found in practice it added too little value compared to other cards that could take that card slot in the deck.
@iwhaleme: There's only 1 copy of Pia and Kiran Nalaar. I had the deck set to sort by custom categories, so it was showing that Pia and Kiran serve multiple roles in the deck, both generating tokens and dealing damage. I've changed the default sorting back to Type for clarity that cards aren't actually in there multiple times.

-1 Wizard's Retort Not enough creatures for it to have a prayer of being a Counterspell.
-1 The Mirari Conjecture Feels just too slow, and I never seem to mind discarding it.
-1 Swiftfoot Boots Locust God is already inherently resilient, and you're not dependent on other creatures.
-1 Apex of Power I find it amusing, but the cost plus it not being a draw puts it on the chopping block.
+1 Counterflux At worst, a slightly more restrictive Cancel that can't be countered.
+1 Mindmoil Free wheel stapled onto every spell for a deck that always wants to draw more cards.
+1 Swarm Intelligence What's better than casting a draw-2? Getting a second draw-2.

It would be helpful to post a deck link so we can see what you are working with.
To start, what is more important to you, flavour or overall power? If flavour is more important, there are a number of spells with Nicol Bolas quotes you can use. Some top contenders for flavour include:
Neheb, the Eternal - which has the advantage of being a fairly solid card.
Apex of Power - super big, flashy spell that oozes with flavour, but is not the most playable card.
There are the assorted planeswalker defeat cards, which, while quite flavourful, are pretty mediocre.
Fraying Omnipotence - another flavorful card that is not great.
Patient Rebuilding is not great as a draw engine, but still kind of fun.
Soul Manipulation provides graveyard recursion and a limited counterspell.

Hey, I like the idea. Does the deck manage to cast an Apex of Power then win often ?

Perhaps a cheeky single copy of Apex of Power to make bank on Neheb's mana ability? :3
Might want to run some form of card draw / draw fixing.
