hey this is awesome i was thinking about building a deck like this, any consideration for something like Mishra's Bauble or enchantments like Unbridled Growth ? im also a big fan of Obsessive Skinner

Devoted Druid  Epochrasite (Always around to help recast Hamz?) Fearless Fledgling (Hamz Caster with evastion for beats) Hornbash Mentor 9Lots of Trample already) Keensight Mentor (beefy vigi's are sick blockers) Maulfist Revolutionary (Doubling Season) Narnam Renegade (Mean blocker with counter chance) Obsessive Skinner (Hamz caster with handout counters) Orzhov Advokist (THIS IS INSANE, you get two counters each upkeep bare minimum) Wildwood Scourge (Hamz Caster, play for 2 and watch him be huge in the mid game)

Fertilid is good with the counters but is too slow whenever I run it. I think you should run something like Blossoming Defense over Kaya's Ghostform, Kaya's Ghostform will make it drop all the enchantments that are on it. Mask of Avacyn can be another card in a similar role. The Ozolith seems so good in this deck that I would think about adding some equipment in and maybe a few other artifacts to try and get Inventors' Fair to work. Sarulf, Realm Eater may be a board wipe that will synergize, though a bit finnicky. Obsessive Skinner seems too difficult to get working early with little pay off if it does, Evolutionary Escalation may fit well into that deck, making counters, and friends, early and often. Mighty Emergence can probably do some work as the game goes on, Necropolis Regent seems like the perfect curve topper, Retribution of the Ancients might be a good removal engine. I do think that trample is the most important keyword early, so Ring of Kalonia is a good choice, Dragon Fangs or Vorrac Battlehorns may be good additions as well.

Also, you could replace your least favorite hydra with Vigor. Play the deck a few times to see how those "enters the battlefield with counters equal to creatures in graveyards"-type creatures work out for you. I suspect that there will be times that your commander will eat their lunch, so to speak. Rhizome Lurcher seems to be the weakest of these, and this would be a good slot for any of the other cards I mentioned. Other cards to look at are Fungal Behemoth, Scute Mob, Obsessive Skinner, and Feral Hydra: if they're not pulling their weight when you test your deck then I would try replacing these with other cards.

Thimbrethil yes I've had problems with Obsessive Skinner going off due to me only having 5 types (6 including my commander). Right now he is most useful after a board wipe/disenchant/land destruction.

Bulborb112 Good catch! I completely missed that. Unfortunately if I put in Loyal Guardian I take up $0.49 of my $5 limit. So it's a little expensive for this deck at the moment.

I've really liked Dragon Shadow in my list so far, since it comes back for free if I mill it and gives Hogaak pretty decent evasion (depends how many black creatures you see in your meta).

I've also really liked Korozda Guildmage and Ghoulcaller Gisa , but my list is more token based than I think yours is.

Obsessive Skinner is sweet. I need to get one for my list.

Since you have the shocklands, wouldn't Wood Elves work better than Quirion Trailblazer? Its cheaper, you could fetch Breeding Pool and Stomping Ground as well as have the land come in untapped [to be fair, even without shocks, they're better].

Obsessive Skinner could help ramp up the counters on Animar and Elgaud Shieldmate is some creature based hexproof for him [her, it?]. Fauna Shaman to search up the right creature at the right time and Eternal Witness for some important recycling.

This is the kind of toolbox-y deck that I enjoy making/playing so I might have to go find a copy of Animar and build myself a Temur deck.
