Mirror Gallery EDH
Commander Deck Help forum

I'm thinking about building a Riku of Two Reflections EDH Deck built around breaking the rules by using Mirror Gallery and copying legends like Rashmi, Eternities Crafter and Melek, Izzet Paragon. Thought, Ideas, Suggestions?
Make sure you have plenty of counterspells or regenerates to keep Mirror Gallery alive.
Other than that, I suggest Transmute Artifact, Fabricate, Reshape, or Whir of Invention to consistently get Mirror Gallery.
And if you plan to go wholeheartedly into it, all of the normal token enablers, doublers, etc. Rite of Replication, Primal Vigor, Second Harvest, etc.
Lastly, and most importantly: Mizzix of the Izmagnus + Mycosynth Lattice. So long as you run enough instants and sorceries, 2+ Mizzix's getting twice(etc) the experience and twice(etc) the cost reduction - eventually allowing you to play all your instant and sorceries for free. But maybe I dream too wildly...

I don't seen what combo you're getting at with Mizzix and Lattice.

This seems like it would be solid as a minor theme in a deck that focuses mainly around clones.
Padeem, Consul of Innovation and Darksteel Forge will protect the gallery while it's out.
Alhammarret, High Arbiter, Dragonlord Atarka, Prime Speaker Zegana, and Wort, the Raidmother all have very good ETB effects that you can take advantage of even when you don't have Mirror Gallery out.
Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Jori En, Ruin Diver, Kraum, Ludevic's Opus, Baral, Chief of Compliance and Rayne, Academy Chancellor, Thassa, God of the Sea, Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix all provide good effects that can get out of hand fast if they trigger multiple times. Kazuul is even funnier, because with even two of them you can look at making an army of 3/3s every time you're attacked.
Body Double, Clever Impersonator, Clone, Dack's Duplicate, Gigantoplasm, Mercurial Pretender, Phantasmal Image, Phyrexian Metamorph, Stunt Double, Progenitor Mimic, Sakashima the Impostor, Cackling Counterpart, Fated Infatuation, Supplant Form, Rite of Replication, Spitting Image, and Tempt with Reflections are all solid clones or clone effects. Feldon of the Third Path certainly wouldn't hurt either.
Finally, for when the legends just can't stick or you need other effects, sliding in good creatures that have useful ETB or static effects are useful. Acidic Slime, Reclamation Sage, Archaeomancer, Goblin Electromancer, Consecrated Sphinx, Elvish Visionary, Horizon Chimera and the like will all be quite useful.
Multiple Starke of Rath allows you to use one to kill a creature then use a second to kill the first. Very very conditional removal, but it would be pretty funny to use.
And, of course, like Eiti3 said, using cards like Transmute Artifact, Fabricate, Reshape, or Whir of Invention will allow you to get Mirror Gallery more consistently, though unless you go very hard on copying just Legends it shouldn't matter too much. I wouldn't recommend doing that, either, as anyone taking out Mirror Gallery could easily wipe most of your board.

Eiti3 I think you're mistaken, lattice doesn't make them cost generic mana it just let's you pay any kind of mana for anything. If mizzix provided mana towards spells for each spell you've played then it would let you play as many insists or sorceries as you want but since it just reduces the cost, nothing happens.
For example, if you want to play Simic Charm you would still have to pay 2 mana to play it. No matter how many experience counters you have, it only reduces the cost by 2 generic mana but since it costs 2 specific types of mana, the reduction in cost doesn't matter. Although lattice lets you spend mana as if it were any color, mizzix only reduces the cost rather than giving you mana, so you would still need to pay full cost for the charm.

Wow, that was a very long message to correct me on something so simple. Thanks, I'm well educated now.

Eiti3 I was trying to make it as clear as possible since it seemed like you don't understand the mechanics of the game, sorry for taking time out of my day to try to help.

I once had a Progenitus deck running Mirror Gallery and the whole aim was to get as many copies of my commander in play as possible. Super fragile but good fun.
I would recommend cards like Progenitor Mimic as they gain constant value.

Mirror Gallery + Rite of Replication + Iona, Shield of Emeria
Not as fragile as the others, and absolutely HILARIOUS to pull off.
Edit: Oh. Oops. I forgot you're not running white. My bad.

Might be a little fragile, but it seems like it would be fun with enough tutors to get the gallery into play.
