It's not the best thing you can do with Vannifar, but it's one of the most satisfying. You can easily make infinite mana with Walking Atlas, Retreat to Coralhelm, and a card such as Ghost Town that can return to the hand for free. Then you can win with Helix Pinnacle or just use one of the landfall effects like Hedron Crab.
