Ahh, Mari, the Killing Quill. Another tribal lord for rogues, assassins and... wait, mercenaries?? Why did they give them a nod after all these years?

Well, fine by me! As you may well know, I feel like the mercenary tribe never really got a fair shake - which is really too bad, because their constituents were way cooler than white's more successful counterparts, the rebels. So in the world of EDH, do our mercenary minions stand a better chance of making a splash?

Well... no. But a tribe built around searching still feels like a boon in a singleton format! Search out all your little mans, pick off creatures with black's plentiful removal, then send in the evasive critters like Changeling Outcastfoil and Rathi Intimidator to collect those hit counters. Treasure can be cashed in for the numerous activated abilities you'll have floating around, but don't forget Marionette Master and Revel in Riches can capitalize on all those artifact tokens piling up!
