Prototyping a Cmdr Gates deck.

I already have a Sunburst / Domain / Converge deck in Commander, which is providing the foundation for this one. That said, including Domain made the deck have to stretch in too many directions: Converge is basically just Sunburst ("For each color of mana you spent to cast this, blablablah") whereas Domain needs an infrastructure of basic land types, which basically meant Triomes ($8 apiece) and the new Dominaria dualies (Idyllic Beachfront). Of course, that also restricted the deck heavily as there's 55 Domain cards, the keyword having come back in DMU, and only 18 Converge.

The deck now consists of three components.

• Everything Gates. Maze's End is far out of the budget I would normally accord, but it's literally central to the deck, so, um, oopsies.
• Converge and Sunburst creatures, since I can get maximum value out of them.
• Proliferate mechanics. Most Sunburst creatures use +1/+1 counters, and this is a good way to lean into that theme.

Curse the banning of Golos. I completely understand why he was a problem, but factually speaking this is the exact kind of deck he was printed to facilitate.
