Aurochs Herd

Creature — Aurochs

Trample

When Aurochs Herd enters the battlefield, you may search your library for an Aurochs card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.

Whenever Aurochs Herd attacks, it gets +1/+0 until end of turn for each other attacking Aurochs.

Shout-out to my friends Aurochs, Bull Aurochs, Aurochs Herd, and Rimehorn Aurochs. I’ve been trying to find a way to make old cow tribal a reality but I’ve not been at all successful :/

TypicalTimmy: Looking at the existing cards like Aurochs Herd, Aurochs is definitely the correct singular.

Regarding the activated ability: While arguments for being Gruul can be found, the avalanche flavour it is meant to invoke comes close to natural disaster spells like Hurricane and the like, so Mono- works.

The bonus of the LD spells are that they ramp you and thin the deck. So, playing big dudes as wincons is a good idea. -4 demolish + 4 Thermokarst - 3 Shock and -1 Rampant Growth + 4 Aurochs Herd as a big dude of choice.

I feel like a splash of green would really help this deck, as it would allow you to play high-value cards that your deck lacks, namely Fog and Aurochs Herd , as they provide great utility, one of them even being so broken that it allows you to negate an infinite amount of damage. It would also synergize greatly with Elvish Visionary , creating a powerful card draw engine that would confuse the opponent.

TL;DR take out blue, as it is cluttering up the true power of your deck.

okay, here are some "win-cons" I found. you could just go for a big creature like Trench Gorger , Stormtide Leviathan , Aggressive Mammoth , Aurochs Herd , Carnage Tyrant , Child of Gaea , Cloudthresher , Essence of the Wild could be fun, Force of Nature is really big, Frost Titan , Grunn, the Lonely King , Guile , Hydra Broodmaster (this is one of my all time favorites since it was one of my first cards), Nessian Wilds Ravager , Sagu Mauler (a card I wanted to play for a long time but didn't have the right deck for it, but this seems a perfect fit), Terra Stomper (of course, a classic), Gigantosaurus , Primeval Force , Thornling or maybe Vorapede

yes, I went through almost every 5 and 6 cost minion in green and blue. I'm sure there are other cards that could win you the game out there. but this is what I found

you could also use something that is very evasive ofcourse. like Sun Quan, Lord of Wu or Archetype of Imagination . or something different like a combo with Deadeye Navigator , or counter things and make Draining Whelk really big.

Welcome the Pauper format!Your deck seems like if could use some work. Mind if I give a few pointers?
So, your idea is to control the board while ramping into fatties?

Well, to Ramp fast in pauper you can: Arbor Elf and Voyaging Satyr to untap lands enchanted with Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Overgrowth and Fertile Ground.

use the Tron Lands: Urza's Mine, Urza's Power Plant and Urza's Mine and fetch them with Crop Rotation and Expedition Map.

use spell based Ramp: Rampart Growth, Cultivate, Skyshroud Claim, Explore and the honorary Sakura-Tribe Elder.

For Fatties choice you can play:

Ulamog's Crusher, Hand of Emrakul, Aurochs Herd, Fangren Marauder and Breaker of Armies.

As for removal in Black, you might wanna get Diabolic Edict to get those pesky hexproof creatures.

Neither Sylvan Scrying nor Bane of Bala Ged are pauper legal. TappedOut is not very good at determining pauper legality.

To replace, I suggest Maul Splicer or Aurochs Herd, and filling out your playsets of Crusher and Crop Rotation.
