Goblin Wizard Discussion

Sorry for the late post, all! Christmas and working on getting a new job.
Panharmonicon is a fantastic card in decks like this! It can win games, and at the very least generate a lot of value.
I'll check your deck out as soon as I get some time! I'll give you any and all advice I've picked up from over the years with this deck.
No worries, friend! Stop by any time! I wish Mox Ruby was legal! Well, if it was legal and financially affordable, haha.
- I thought about Infernal Plunge but if I don't have sac fodder (or if I do, but it's a combo piece) then it becomes a dead card. I'd rather have a little higher CMC, but it works without condition.
- I prefer Empty the Warrens over Goblin Offensive because it is more likely to give you a better payoff mana-wise. Especially with a low average CMC for the deck.
- As for Goblin Wizard, he used to be in the deck, but having another card at 4 CMC makes it harder to cast the commander. Additionally, he was always countered and really didn't add enough value.
Happy holidays, everyone!

Sorry for the comment bombardment, but I also noticed you don't have Goblin Wizard in here as another means to cheat goblins out onto the battlefield.

Thank you for voicing your concerns, delturkoeit, but I do disagree.
Goblin Wizard actually used to be in the deck, but was taken out because of his high CMC and lack of immediate power (unless he had haste). Goblin Rabblemaster was not a competitive enough selection for this deck because it left my defenses wide open, although the latter two abilities would be fantastic.
Sorry you feel that way, but I do suggest you reconsider your views on this not being a tribal deck solely because it does not include two cards, thanks!

This deck feels completely different than any other goblin tribal i have seen or played. I'm not very fond of this deck because of how the deck doesn't follow its label and how you are missing staple Goblins from this deck that would do even more damage such as Goblin Rabblemaster and Goblin Wizard.

Thanks for the comment, rkjunior! And a lot of these cards have been in and out or have been considered, haha. Great minds think alike, right? I (not too long ago) took out Goblin Offensive and Goblin Rally because of their costs and because ETB generation has more synergy with Panharmonicon.
Goblin Wizard was another sad one I had to give up...as much as I loved that goofy sucker, he just wasn't efficient enough for me. Skirk Fire Marshal and Arms Dealer being similar cases in the sense that they were too self-destructive.
The remaining cards were all considered on and off as well, but just didn't fit as tightly as I would like. Trust me though, I have considered them all at one point! Always good to hear from another Purph player, and thanks again for your comment, friend. Praise be to Purphoros! ;D

Love the deck. I built a budget Purphoros deck during a friends $100 challenge but I'm looking to upgrade it, and this is exactly what I was looking for. While a lot of your synergies were the same as mine, there's a handful of cards I ran and wanted to hear what you thought.
Arms Dealer, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Forgotten Cave, Furnace of Rath, Goblin Lookout, Goblin Offensive, Goblin Rally, Goblin Wizard, Norin the Wary, Skirk Fire Marshal, Smoldering Crater, Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, Fanatic of Mogis
