I have a lot of black cards that just don't seem to fit in any of my casual 60-card decks, so I decided to build a monoblack EDH deck to make use of some of these cards. Because a monoblack EDH deck would run a crapload of Swamps, I threw in all the cards I could find that cared about having them on the battlefield. You know, things like Nightmare Lash, Corrupt, stuff like that.

Other than that, it's just all the fun cards I've wanted to play along with plenty of sweepers and big awesome dudes. Speaking of big awesome dudes, any of the legendary creatures in the deck would work as the general. Sheoldred, Whispering One would work well as a reusable resource, as would Visara the Dreadful . I simply chose Spirit of the Night because it's old-school, hilarious, and has haste for surprise attacks.
