Thought to add some components of my Welder deck to my thopter deck and seeing how it all goes. All Ideas appreciated on the change.

Added a few cards to the maybe board to be potentially added into the deck.

Nim Deathmantle - With this card we can get overall recursion for our nontoken creatures and it also combos infinitely with Wurmcoil Engine and Ashnod's Altar. Have all three on the field and 2 mana, Sac wurmcoil to the altar adding 2 mana to your mana pool. Putting 2 3/3 wurm tokens onto the battlefield and Nim Deathmantle triggering, pay the 4 using the 2 from the altar and 2 from another source. Returning Wurmcoil engine onto the field, again sacrifice Wurmcoil engine to the altar along with one of the wurm tokens adding a total of 4 mana to our pool, again deathmantle will trigger you pay with the mana and repeat.

Tendrils of Agony- With one of the combos in our deck (2 Myr Retriever + Ashnod's Altar) ,you will sac a retriever to the altar using the 2 mana to play your other from your hand. You will then sac the retriever on the field adding 2 mana to your pool and having its ability trigger returning your other retriever to your hand and playing it with the 2 mana, from there you will do this infinitely or until you will be able to cast Tendrils of Agony and kill your opponent.

with this being a casual deck, why wouldn't you run multiple Tolarian Academy and/or Sol Ring and/or Tinker and/or Strip Mine ...? Also: Elixir of Immortality , Fabricate .

ah ok that makes sense. And now that I'm thinking about it, I'd drop the Strip Mine altogether and instead run something like Maze of Ith since you're worried about control. Being able to blow up 1 land isn't really all that useful, while repeatedly stopping an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or the like from blasting through is pretty handy. The downside is that you can't tap the Maze for mana, in which case I'd drop something else and run a card:Mishra's Workshop if you can get a hold of one

Nice looks like fun +1.

reguthon, the Ith would not stop Annihilator though, so if Emrakul is declared an attacker, he'd still be sacrificing 6 permanents.

Very nice looking deck, but with only one Tinker and one Demonic Tutor , wouldn't counterspells ruin your day a bit?

@UmbrotheUmbreon, It does hurt a bit if they do, but most of the time with the reputation this deck has here. People are wasting their counters on your combo pieces.

This deck is soo extremely fun, it can have extremely explosive fast wins, massive assaults with thopters, turn 3 blightsteel wins and plus much more. It sucks though that someone here got tired of my deck and bought multiple playsets of Null Rod for other to play with against me lol. Since then i have slightly retired the deck, thought i have been deciding if i want to replace the black in the deck with white or just to add white. White would add various cards like Enlightened Tutor for our combo pieces and Disenchant for the pesky Null Rod and other various artifacts and enchants. Could also take the deck in a Stoneforge Mystic approach as a alternate win con but i will look into that more. Any ideas and tips would be greatly appreciated, Thanks for checking out my deck.

The only problem I see is Vandalblast or Shatterstorm , I would consider throwing in Darksteel Forge . Even if they don't play a Null Rod , you have no answer to a board wipe on turn 3-5 depending on mana ramp. To make it run faster, I would consider some Locus, Cloudpost and Glimmerpost .

I love artifact decks as I run a casual modern one myself. The problem that I always face is board wipes, wether it be artifact destruction or something like Cyclonic Rift .

+1 from me

No Lotus Petal or Mox Opal ? Those would be budget alternatives to Mox Sapphire , Mox Jet , and so forth...

Also Voltaic Key for the Mana Vault can entirely save your rear...
