Tergrid gets all the hate so Lorcan can fly unnoticed. It's way more fair cause A) It costs more, B) it only cares about creatures, and C) you have to pay life to steal your opponent's stuff! But also, A) They then get exiled when they die a second time (suck it graveyard decks) and B) it steals creatures whenever they go to the graveyard from anywhere (including milled from library so hello Breach the Multiverse).

Each card serves one or more of the following purposes: 1) Ramp to get us able to cast our commander and other powerful spells ASAP 2) Life gain to allow us to steal all the stuff 3) Removal/forced sacrifice of our opponent's stuff 4) Reanimation of our creatures to force more sacrifices 5) Card draw so we never run out of removal

There are a couple of major win-cons still, rather than just relying on our opponents to provide us with their's: Breach the Multiverse - This card is already a win con allowing you to take the best creature from each of your opponent's graveyards and reanimate your own. With Lorcan out, though, you don't have to choose just one from the targets that hit the yard, you can take them all! Brainstealing Dragon - Now our opponents pay for us stealing their stuff, as well, but we have the massive life gain package. Gray Merchant of Asphodel - It's a mono black deck, of course Gary is here. Bringer of the Last Gift - With how much we will be tearing apart our opponent's graveyards cause of Lorcan's second line of text, this is a pretty powerful assymetric board wipe which ALSO gives us the chance to steal everything of value that it just removed from our opponent's side of the board. One Ring to Rule Them All - Should we have at some point failed at somehow decimating our opponent's graveyards and stealing everything (or they just had a bunch of stuff we didn't want) Chapter III punishes them and could just make some people straight up lose. Or you might just plan for this and decline to steal everything that dies to Chapter II. Then of course there are all the drain effects that will add up over the course of a game.
