Quantum Misalignment

Sorcery

Create a token that's a copy of target creature you control, except it isn't legendary.

Rebound (If you cast this spell from your hand, exile it as it resolves. At the beginning of your next upkeep, you may cast this card from exile without paying its mana cost.)

A couple problems here. It sounds like you want to cast Quantum Misalignment targeting Bill Potts, then use the Bill's trigger to copy the spell targeting the token that Quantum Misalignment created. The first issue is that the token doesn't exist yet. When you cast a spell, any abilities that trigger from it will trigger and resolve before the spell does, that means you'll need to target a creature you already have.

So that what about next turn? Quantum Misalignment has rebound after all, so you can cast it targeting Bill Potts and then use the trigger to copy the spell targeting the copy you made last turn. Well, here's the second problem: That does work, but it doesn't create any more triggers. The second Bill Potts won't trigger from being targeted, because you never cast a spell targeting it, you just created a copy of a spell targeting it. The ability specifies that it triggers from the casting of a spell, not just from Bill becoming the target of one, which keeps this kind of trick from working.

Maybe take out Hedron Crab because it only targets one player and put in Quantum Misalignment?

Looks like a solid list so far. Personally I would make these swaps:

Muldrotha, the Gravetide -> Kodama of the East Tree
Notion Thief -> Stone-Seeder Hierophant
Ramunap Excavator -> Awaken the Woods
Courser of Kruphix -> Tireless Provisioner
Doubling Season -> Spark Double
Roil Elemental -> Quantum Misalignment
Parallel Lives -> Irenicus's Vile Duplication
Crucible of Worlds -> Sakura-Tribe Scout
Harrow -> Elvish Rejuvenator
Roiling Regrowth -> Sporocyst
Cultivate -> Farhaven Elf
1x Island -> Field of the Dead
Meloku the Clouded Mirror -> Animist's Awakening
Trade Routes -> Genesis Wave
Life from the Loam -> Nissa, Resurgent Animist
Zuran Orb -> Squandered Resources

Azoth2099 so a bit of a follow-up:

First of all because I'm a difficult person, I decided to change Dramatic Scepter for this. I feel like the presence of a 2.5-piece combo was warping the deck when I just wanted it to be an alternative to 9-wraith-beatdown. Obviously, cutting it reduces consistency ironically enough, but at least the new pieces arguably have more utility outside the combo.

Maskwood Nexus & Metallurgic Summonings dragged Army of the Damned down with them in the fall, I feel like the Army wasn’t good enough as a back-up finisher, especially when the Zombies couldn’t be made into Wraiths. (I wish there was a Sorcery that created 7 changeling tokens.)

Quantum Misalignment was painful to cut since it can almost single-handedly reach the magic 9 Wraith mark, but admittedly it was too slow in doing so and really encouraged people to Swords to Plowshares the commander as soon as Quantum M targets it even the first time.

Anyway, the replacements can be found in the “New” category. The more confident style of paying more life for resources has helped it be more resilient against running out of gas (and honestly, losing quicker is more fun than sitting with an empty hand & board because you cast all your spells and then got wrathed). Still, the deck kinda fails like a failed hipster experiment of not going with the Nazguls like everyone else; those can be cast before your MV 5 commander and are a lot easier to recur than nonpermanent cards. Meh.

Anyway, thanks again for your time.

Yeah, I suppose that was a rude way to say that, I apologize.

Once this deck is streamlined, you'll have more than enough token generation to slot Diabolic Intent, especially considering that one of your main combos is Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter. Sacrificing a token so that you can make infinite tokens is worth it.

Also, the utility offered by Black Market Connections here is insane. If you don't want to throw a bunch of life into it once it's served it's purpose you can just pay 1 for a treasure, which is fantastic. The tokens it generates are Changelings as well, which matters a lot if we're talking about quickly getting to the 9. Never be afraid to use your life as a resource, especially in color combos including . You're kicking yourself by doing so! The more powerful and dialed in your decklist is, the more powerful your life will be as a resource, I cannot overstate this.

If you don't want to police the table for fun's sake...that's awesome lol, you're probably super fun to play with! In that case, I'd add more cantrip effects for yourself like Ponder, Brainstorm, Serum Visions, Opt...There's a ton. Windfall, Tolarian Winds, Sign in Blood & Night's Whisper would do great in this new hypothetical card draw pack, too.

As far as what I'd cut to make room for more core strength, here it goes:

Teferi's Veil, Levitation, Cover of Darkness, Glamdring, Maskwood Nexus, Uncovered Clues, Pieces of the Puzzle, Worn Powerstone, Metallurgic Summonings, Quantum Misalignment, Decoy Gambit & Soul Shatter.

None of these are bad cards per se, I definitely understand why you slotted most of them, but if you replace them with some of the cards I mentioned your deck engine will run a lot smoother a lot more often.
