So before I went to FNM, I decided to go ahead and play test 2 Courser of Kruphix and a single Gaze of Granite. The cards worked well! So well I got top 8! Crazy huh?
Round 1- Naya Auras, 2-1. This match was a little weird. He took game 1 turn 4 with turn 2 Hero of Iroas, turn 3 Ethereal Armor and Unflinching Courage, turn 4 Madcap Skills and another Ethereal Armor. And before you ask, no, I had no Abrupt Decay. Game 2 he kept a one land hand after a mulligan to 5. After I laid down a Chromantciore and he had no lands out! he scooped. Game 3 was close, he got me to 7 and I thankfully recovered from that. An Anger of the Gods wiped his board and and a Sylvan Primordial topped it off.
Round 2- Esper control, 1-2. This was a friend of mine and I helped him build the whole deck so I knew every card he ran. I destroyed him game 1 after casting a Syncopate for one on his Sphinx's Revelation and was just left top decking cards. After that game, I was mana screwed BAD!!! Even though I run 27 and had a Courser of Kruphix out! I couldn't get there game 2. Game three, same thing happened. Except I had no courser and the most stupid color combo possible.
Round 3- BUG Control, 2-0. Noob deck so I took this pretty easy. Before she did the ultimate of Kiora, the Crashing Wave, I played Gaze of Granite for 4 and wiped the board. Pretty awesome. Game 2 I just had waaay too many creatures for her to deal with.
Round 4- Jund Control, 2-1. This guy is the best at the shop so I was intimidated. A lot of rough games but I had an answer to every Stormbreath Dragon (even in the game I lost) and Sylvan Primordial came out both games I won so that helped a lot.
~~Top 8~~
Split prize was TERRIBLE!!! So we all decided to play it out. I play the dude I played round 1 thinking "I should win, right?" Well I was wrong.
Round 1- Naya Auras, 1-2. Game 1 I attempted to Gaze of Granite for one and kill his Gladecover Scout with like 3 auras on it, but he plays Boros Charm and I scoop. Game 2 I take after having a Prophet of Kruphix out for multiple turns and utilizing it to its fullness by flashing in bestowed Chromanticores and having 3 Planeswalkers out. He scooped. Game 3 he was aggressive again. Remember in round 1 when he turn 4 killed me? He did the same thing except like turn 6 or7 kill.
So prize was $5. Lucky me. Sideboard updates. Mainboard updates. Don't forget to check out my next deck in progress:

My first ever FNM Round 1 - Played an Orzhov Midrange deck that was basically Mono Black Devotion with Blood Barons. I went 2-0, my agro was to much for them. Round 2 - Played an American Control deck that was up to pro standards. I went 0-2 as Aetherling was to much for me. Round 3 - Played a Dimir Mill deck, First game he milled me next two games I won. I want 2-1![Doom Blade feature for MonoBlack Aggro [Help Wanted]](http://static.tappedout.net/mtg-cards-2/game-nights-free-for-all/doom-blade/femme_fatale-doom-blade-gn3-16728064010.png)

you cant do combo but Avenger of Zendikar can go in the closet and then more tokens or Chancellor of the Forge but it does make a good amount of tokens

1st Round: Fought my friend's Puresteel Paladin Equipment deck. Just couldn't find combo pieces at all. 0-2
2nd Round: Fought UWR Control. After getting beat down by Restoration Angel in the first game, I successfully combo'd out in games 2 and 3. 2-1
3rd Round: Fought some sort of U/W beatdown deck. Didn't have any trouble doing what I planned to. 2-0
4th Round: Fought Infect. Got completely stomped. 0-2
I'm adding Sudden Shock to the sideboard to have a chance at winning against infect without a nut draw.

Update 2
Esther, 11 years ago
Removed one elixir of immortality because i never used it during any of my games Also removed the two kiora's followers Added 4 courser of kruphix to thin the deck out of mana plus its synergy with primeval bounty Removed one prophet of kruphix because i have begun to see her to often now and get two or three of her per game Added 2 mistcutter hydra and 2 skylasher to the sideboard to help against control matchups along with 2 glaring spotlight for naya or bant hexproof and 2 savage summoning to ease the pain that is control Removed one dictate of kruphix for one ephara, god of the polis

Went 2-3 today, as to be expected when working with a new deck. Nothing particularly exciting to report, just getting used to the cadence of the deck and all. I found out that this deck struggles a lot against most Midrange/Ramp decks (I got slammed by RUG and Junk midrange). It performs well against UWx control, and I generally don't have many issues with Weenies and Aggro.
I found out that Pack Rat] really isn't doing it for me in the 2 drop slot, and would like to replace it with something else. I'm strongly considering Pain Seer, but there's already a lack of lifegain solutions and lots of life being used as a resource here. Any thoughts or suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated,

Firday Night Magic: Fourth
Atlashine, 11 years ago
Today was the big day; a week of preparation leading into the week's end big one! There were a lot of different deck types represented and I will admit I started sloppy and it was those amateur mistakes that kept me from the gold.
Round One: Boros Burns (1-2): This was pretty much set to be whoever was on the play wins, but despite this I managed to lose in game three due to extremely novice mistakes. A near mirror match; I knew he could still have his Searing Bloods in his deck and yet I continued to play my creatures and took key damage that more than likely set the match.
Round Two: Boros Burns (2-0): Yet another Boros Burns deck; it caught me off guard how many of these I saw. Keeping in mind the mistakes I made in round one and abusing priority and responses; I was about to wrap things up and take the win.
Round Three: Gruul Something (2-1): It was the kids first Friday Night Magic and I guess I got paired down for it. He did alright, and was content with the win in the second match. I passed down what knowledge I knew of the game with him and his father and wished him well in loving the game as much as me.
Round Four: B/R Minotaurs (2-1): This was the one that caught me off guard the most! His deck was arguably amateur, but it had enough creatures and damage in its brute combos to understand how it pushed through the prior matches. It trashed me pretty bad in round one, but Satyr Firedancer kept his everything under wraps and tossed more than enough triggers to keep me safe.
Quarter Finals: Mono-Black Devotion (2-0): My obvious ideal match up; it went pretty text book. Any time she used life to gain a lead she was punished; everytime she didn't... she was still punished!
Semi Finals: Orzhov Weenies (1-2): The first two matches were pretty close and rather enjoyable. My third game opening hand was six good spells and Sacred Foundry. I kept with high hopes, but the next land was several turns away and once it was drawn; it was already too late.
I had a lot of fun tonight and fourth place isn't half bad! I got three packs out of it (nothing but junk, but it was well earned), and I plan on using it a lot more often. I will be using my other decks during the week to understand the different matches a little better.

Added [[Eidolon of Blossoms]]

Eidolon of Blossoms...built for this deck :)
We added Eidolon of Blossoms to this deck...it seems like it was made to improve this deck! It provides two devotion, draws a card on ETB, AND draws a card any time we play one of our land enchantments (two in the case of Abundant Growth) and/or one of our Gods...truly a great card for this deck (I love spoiler season :). While Carven Caryatid's 5-Toughness was truly beneficial; the card advantage Eidolon of the Blossoms creates is just too strong.

Took this to a standard FNM tonight, and played afterwards with a friend who had a souped up Melira/Pod deck. Instead of Viscera Seer, he was running Young Wolf which actually got work in. After seeing a turn 4 Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite though, he scooped and we proceeded onto the next game.
All together we played six games, and this deck had won 5 of them. It seems that as long as you can 'Rites an Elesh Norn before they go infinite, then you win, as it just wrecks their board state.

Played against oloro and Nekusar and ended up in a bad situation with me drawing and loosing life from both of them. A quick silvered tearastodon sorted out some troublesome permanents and ulvenwald tracker and rancor did a lot of work vs creatures. This deck is great at sorting out awkward non-creature permanents but struggles understandably with creatures. I may add a nevs disk as a panic button or maybe a creature that can kill other creatures straight away - creatures are way more tutorable in green. It's worth noting that I've been barely getting my commander out these last few games. Because the deck is so creature heavy, I've always had creatures in my hand that do more than her, but never the mana to play both.

I don't play this deck anymore for 2 reasons: 1. If you want to play Momir Vig, and you aren't building elfball, you aren't utilizing his true power. 2. My playgroups are casual, and this deck is unfun. Factual information. Sad to see you rot there, first general of mine. Thankfully RtR ruined Simic art and flavour, so I care less.
