A deck largely designed by my brother with modifications to make it Legacy-legal and more competitive. He normally uses a Vintage configuration of the deck, but the Legacy configuration was set up for a tournament and casual play.

Now with the banning of Top, things had to change up a bit...

The whole point is, unsurprisingly, to smash face as quickly as possible (even at the cost of a lot of life).

Incredibly important parts to this deck:

Dark Ritual + Hypnotic Specter : This is one of the oldest turn 1 plays. And it needs to be answered ASAP, as it turns out, because random discard is lots of fun.

Dark Ritual: In addition to the Hypnotic Specter combo, this also spits out pretty much anything in the deck on turn 1... Phyrexian Arena, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Vampire Nighthawk, or Thoughtseize and Bitterblossom on the same turn.
