It was a hard cut for me coz Deathrite Shaman is a pet card and pretty much a planeswalker for . I already have Nihil Spellbomb in the deck and have Trinket Mage to help find it, I prefer it over Tormod's Crypt in this deck because if I'm low on cards I can just sac and recast for to draw each turn

Duplicant could be a creature spot removal you're looking for.
Banewhip Punisher a bit more harder to abuse without prior synergy.
Big Game Hunter Depends how big your meta is.
Death Pits of Rath Since GY is like a second hand, it might have a place here?
Evil Twin Another target to copy hulk or something beefy in play.
That's all I could think of for creature spot removal that can target anything.

Thanks Demo102 I've always liked Duplicant, actually surprising I didn't put it in the list to start with. I haven't taken notice of Banewhip Punisher before but that's a really good suggestion!! for reusable spot removal seems like it deserves a slot. Not sure I can find space for the other cards though, the summoning sickness with Evil Twin puts me off as I prefer immediate impact... but I do like the card

Cast a spell for free by moving a card from your hand to you "other hand" yes please
April 19, 2018 1:14 p.m.
DrMegaWhits I've been thinking about that one and actually have it in my Wheely fun with Nekusar deck. Thing is, when i play it in that deck I normally win the same turn, I'm worried that I will give my opponents too much value when playing it in a battlecruiser deck like this. Might play test it at some point anyway though :)

@ Tobestik - Permanents only good sir. Gotta go suicide black with stuff like Necropotence and Second Chance for the infinite turns.
April 20, 2018 6 p.m.
Oh right lol. In that case what about Time Sieve+Myr Battlesphere? Cast sphere, sac itself plus tokens or leave token, sac sol ring or lotus petal then infinite turns and tokens. Its more expensive but less risky then dropping down to 5 life plus you get a body that can generating outlets for other sac abilities.

If you're looking for permanent-based creature removal that can hit black creatures, have you considered Sinister Concoction? It's cheap and hits any creature. It mills you (who cares?), it does cost you a discard (shouldn't matter much), and 1 life.
I'm gonna try it out in my deck.
April 20, 2018 8:16 p.m.
Tobestik I feel like those two cards are better for an artifact heavy deck because Time Sieve is a dead card by itself here, and in that situation I prefer Thopter Assembly over Myr Battlesphere. Also if Im going to combo in this deck I want to win on the spot without dragging out the game. StormyWaters2021 Ive never seen Sinister Concoction before, but I like it. Im struggling to find cuts at the moment but Ill add it to the maybe board for consideration, thanks.

Phyrexian Scriptures? or any of the sagas would be great additions since they sac themselves after they've been finished. I list scriptures specifically because it won't hurt you if you make Muldrotha the first ability's target. you wipe the board, hate on their yard, and get to replay it and other spells. As for the others, Song of Freyalise, The Mirari Conjecture, and The Eldest Reborn would fit well here. They are a Saga, so you could cast a saga and enchantment, Freyalise fills your grave and returns all of your lands, Mirari can get back those few instant and sorceries you have back, and Eldest follows the theme of recursion with the added benefit of stealing from your opponents.

Also, the Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, and Walking Ballista combo does nothing unless you have something that benefits from multiple death triggers. otherwise all you are doing is constantly having ballista remove it's +1/+1 counter to shoot itself for its last 1/1 that it gains from Mikeus for being non-human. It then returns to the field to do it all over again. Doing 0 damage to opponents. from what i can see, you dont have a Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat here.

edit: i meant The Mending of Dominaria in my comment about sagas, over Song of Freyalise
April 24, 2018 1:56 a.m.
Klancik I think The Mending of Dominaria has an anti synergistic effect with Muldrotha as it shuffles the GY away, thats like shuffling your hand away, World Shaper is much better in that spot. Overall I think the sagas will be too slow as everyone can play for the next stage. As for Mike and walking ballista, read through Flash Hulk in my combo section for an explanation on how it works, if it doesnt make sense to you let me know and Ill update it to go into more detail

Have you thought about using Sylvan Safekeeper or Siren Stormtamer for protection here and there?
April 25, 2018 1:55 a.m.
Klancik No I hadnt considered them but theyre a good idea thanks. I need more testing with this deck but if I find Muldrotha is getting targeted too often Ill have to find space for one or both of these.

Just stumbled upon an interesting land that might need some consideration. Hickory Woodlot seems like some strong synergy and ramp here. Only trouble is that it only produces green.
April 29, 2018 3:20 a.m.
Klancik I think there are lands in others colours that do this too. I still prefer Ancient Tomb over this as it doesnt sac, and I dont mind the colourless mana because I always have a really consistent mana base. Ive suggested this in an Atraxa deck before and I think thats where it would really shine

Thanks for the list of combos you've considered; Mindslaver looks disgusting.
Have you considered using Mesmeric Orb, Hermit Druid, or Hedron Crab as self mill engines? They don't cantrip like the instant spells but they pitch a lot more cards.
Mesmeric Orb especially can be disgusting. It randomly hits my friend's combo pieces and gives them a hard time.
May 1, 2018 3:21 a.m.
[VETJasper] Youre welcome, Ill continue to add a few more combos over time too, just been too busy travelling with work recently. [Hermit Druid] has definitely been a consideration for me and also a great combo piece with [Dread Return] and no basic lands in the deck.
[Mesmeric Orb] is good but I prefer to control my milling and havent gone heavily GY based in this deck due to so much hate going around. This is more of a battle cruiser list that just benefits from reusing cards. I will at some point mention these cards in the notes at some point as theyre great for a more GY based strategy

I just found this out today. You can return a dryad arbor a strip mine and a dark steel citadel back in the same turn. So i feel it would be a waste not to run those cards at least. Plus smokestack is a must have. You dont even need to play any other stax cards but you litterally loose nothing now playing smokestacks.
May 2, 2018 7:48 a.m.
servantman Haha yea its pretty amazing getting to pick the type of permanent when it has multiple types, thats why I have Phyrexian Metamorph in the deck over some other clones. I dont like artifact lands because when someone wipes artifacts then they go too, I know the citadel is indestructible but its colourless mana and I could only play it as an artifact if I had Exploration on the field.
Dryad Arbor for me is the same issue, it gets wiped when creatures do, and Im not using GSZ to make the most of it on turn 1.
Smokestack I agree is an amazing card and one Ive considered adding, Ill play test it at some point. I played a game recently where someone played Mana Vortex and I came out better than anyone else so I can imagine Smokestack would be even better

I agree with adding Bear Umbra and I agree with the cut. If you end up needing graveyard hate again I'd suggest Nihil Spellbomb or Tormod's Crypt.
Anyways, I got my list down to 100 cards, I was hoping you could take a look again? Muldrotha's Madhouse
