Sideboard

Maybe Jace, the Mind Sculptor will take us to the top.

I'm trying to find a way to make Sultai viable in Modern. This is my take on it.

I'm playing a normal discard package between Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, and Collective Brutality.

My removal package is pretty normal, except I play two Maelstrom Pulse in the mainboard and sometimes rely on Jace, the Mind Sculptor's -1 ability to help with the fact that I don't have access to a good non-discriminating removal spell like Path to Exile or Terminate.

My creatures, outside of the obvious 4 Tarmogoyf, are Tireless Tracker to help with mana flooding and to help me get ahead late game against fair decks, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet as a good curve top aside from Jace to beat decks that Jace doesn't, two Scavenging Ooze to hose graveyard strategies as well as gain some life against aggressive decks, two Snapcaster Mage because he's just insane value and a wonderful card at every phase of the game, and three Dark Confidant for nice card advantage.

I play four Liliana of the Veil because she is an insane card. She puts your opponent from being on top to being in a no-win-possible situation. She is scary to play against. A very good topdeck most of the time. If there were no limits, I'd probably be playing like six of her. Jace, the Mind Sculptor is a two-of because even though he's one of the best cards in this deck, I don't need too many four drops. As long as I'm not terribly behind when I play him, he will bury my opponent in card advantage. He also adds another win condition for my opponent to worry about while they're getting slammed with Tarmogoyfs

Sideboard:

Ceremonious Rejection- Vs Affinity and all forms of Eldrazi and Tron. Lantern Control too I guess.

Collective Brutality- Amazing against burn, and can also be used against control decks or combo decks that require instants or sorceries.

Disdainful Stroke- Tron and Eldrazi hate, along with Scapeshift and any control deck that tries to run big planeswalkers.

Fulminator Mage- Kill Tron lands. Also Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. Considering replacing with Rain of Tears if I add another Snapcaster Mage because at that point it seems better.

Kitchen Finks- Great in the fair mirror, and against Burn. Immediately makes it an uphill battle for any opposing fair deck. Also attacks for damage nicely.

Life Goes On- Instant speed life gain to help even more against Burn. It's great because it's cheap and can be played easily with Snapcaster Mage

Golgari Charm- Can be used as a board wipe against some decks. Destroys Blood Moon if I have the mana to float. Saves board from Supreme Verdict or a lot of removal spells if I'm worried about that.

Nihil Spellbomb- Hits graveyard based decks.

Damnation- Helps against decks with a ton of creatures. Considering going up to two.

Pithing Needle Shoots manlands, planeswalkers, and Expedition Maps. All in one card!
