I'm aware that Clear Shot doesn't trigger Zada and Mirrorwing, but sometimes I just needed a way to get rid of a big threat. Mirrorwing has always been big enough to do that when I've hit it with Clear Shot.
From testing it has been important not just to Ramp, but to have a whole heap of Creatures on the field when Zada and Mirrorwing do their magic.
From that perspectiveScion Summoner has been great, has saved my bacon a few times.
You can make a version with Nissa instead to see how it plays, if you like. Get back to me, if you do.

Argeaux,
Makes sense on Clear Shot. And yeah, the 1 power difference of a 1/1 Eldrazi Scion vs. a 0/1 Plant can make all the difference!
A few more thoughts though ...
- Do you have room for any Aether Hubs? Not sure if they're worth it for just one card, but the idea of casting Infuse with the Elements with up to four colors just fills me with joy.
- Blossoming Defense over Woodcutter's Grit in the sideboard, maybe?

Ooooo GOOD call on Aether Hub. I did not even think of that and Mirrorpool is a bit hit and miss.
I've noticed that you and I think differently about our buff spells. You go for cheaper cost and I go for more power eg. I will always use Brute Force over Rush of Adrenaline.
I prefer Woodcutter's Grit for a couple of reasons:
The removal spells are usually likely to happen in the mid to late game.
The +3P is likely to win the game if given to Mirrorwing.
The +3T gives more chance for Mirrowing to survive a large block.

Giving your entire army four +1/+1 counters + trample for the turn just seems so unfair. The look of your opponent's face when you do this....that's just cruel and mean.
Is this the deck you're taking into new Standard?

Argeaux,
I had never really noticed that about my buff spells but you're totally right. I think it's left over from trying to run Silverfur Partisan
+
Zada, Hedron Grinder
in a world full of Languish. Really, the only way to make it work at all was One Big Turn, storming off with something like T7: Zada, Hedron Grinder, Rush of Adrenaline, Expedite, Might of the Masses.
So, I've been trying some higher-CMC buff spells, and as you might expect, the results are very nice. Thanks much!
P.S. I think you mean Brute Strength :-)

Argeaux,
Also, I tried Nissa, Voice of Zendikar vs. Scion Summoner and the results were totally inconclusive. I think you're right though ... while I really like her -2, it doesn't do much for Zada (while a from a Scion sure can). Plus, every Planeswalker I add to the deck is one less Creature for Zada/Mirrorwing's copied spells.
I was, however, pretty impressed by Servant of the Conduit vs. Deathcap Cultivator. In once game, she handed me a critical extra for an Early Mirrorwing, and in another I used her to refuel an Aether Hub (once right after she ETB'd, for pseudo-haste and later so she could stay untapped to block. The extra Toughness (compared to Cultivator) didn't make a difference in any of my games, but I could see it helping too. Of course, once she's out of Energy, a vanilla 2/2 is not remotely exciting, so I'm not sure. Of course you could add some Evolving Wilds (mostly for Tireless Tracker, but also to fuel Delirium), that might swing my opinion back the other way ...
One more thought: Have you looked at Armorcraft Judge? Frankly a four-drop seems overkill, especially since you're getting Clues from Tracker. But I watched one go off during Pre-release, and she can bring some serious Draw power to a Counter deck. Except, shouldn't she be Armourcraft Judge in Oz? :-)

Yeah I meant Brute Strength. Sometimes the old memory isn't that sharp.
I can see that Servant of the Conduit might be a good add, but I prefer the surety of the mana generation you get from Deathcap Cultivator.
I'm ONLY using that for Ramp. For me I wouldn't muddy the waters by adding in four slow lands just to try to give TWO of my Creatures Deathtouch.
The deck is very focused on what it wants to do - Ramp, draw it into Zada and Mirrorwing, play them ASAP, start accruing Counters.
As such I wouldn't put Armorcraft Judge in, but that's just me. It might turn out to be very good.
AgentGreen I'm playing Speedway Fanatics [KLD] this Standard season. This was just a little side project I was tinkering around with. Glad you like it!

Argeaux,
Have you looked at Nissa, Voice of Zendikar? I'm wondering if her counters might be better than Scion Summoner's ramp in the 3-drop slot ...
I'm also not a huge fan of Clear Shot on the sideboard, since it won't trigger Zada/Mirrorwing.
I'll be back later for some actual testing and more thoughts.
As always, draw well!
