Great start! There are a few categories of stuff I would add, I will start with budget options:
Ramp - Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Farseek, Rampant Growth will fix your colors.
Removal - Reclamation Sage, Swords to Plowshares, Austere Command, Wrath of God, Wear / Tear, Sundering Growth
Card Draw - Guardian Project, Shamanic Revelation, Beast Whisperer. Lifecrafter's Bestiary
Lands - Cinder Glade, Canopy Vista
Win Conditions: Overwhelming Stampede, Chord of Calling to tutor out a win
Other good cards: Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Rootborn Defenses
Other good cards, but not as budge
Xenagos, God of Revels, Token Doublers Anointed Procession, Coat of Arms, Heroic Intervention,
Cards to Consider Cutting:

I think you're doing it right so far. Rather than throw a lot of card suggestions at you, I'll point to 3 decks I have that are centered around +1/+1 counters, and let you peruse them. One is mono-green, and the other two are Simic, so take it as you like.
Also, though, Ajani, Wise Counselor, Ajani, Inspiring Leader, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Archangel of Thune, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Karlov of the Ghost Council, Faeburrow Elder, Bloom Tender, Leyline Prowler and Cryptolith Rite.
That's a lot to absorb, but I'll add also that this deck seems ripe for including the Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista combo. Both cards would work independently in this deck, and the infinite loop possibility would be always there.

Hey for your +1/+1 theme, Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants is pretty nice and so is Ajani, Inspiring Leader which has pretty good removal. Sylvan Awakening is a cool trick win con. Strionic Resonator can trigger Shalai’s ability twice and it speeds up the game
