Went 8-2-1 at a Grand Prix Trial. Took game 1 versus Wolf Run Ramp 2-0. Took game 2 versus RG beatdown 2-1. Drew game 3 so we both made it to top 4. Took game 4 versus RG beatdown 2-0. Took game 5 against UB control 2-1.

Prepared a sideboard for playing against Wolf Run Ramp, Delver, and non-White decks.

*POST DKA EDIT* Added Immerwolves and other dka werewolves, honestly Immerwolves make the deck soo much better (even more then the $30 Huntmasters ><)

I went 4-1 with this last night at FNM, only losing to monored (I couldn't get a fast enough start -.-)and I think I need to beef up the land. When it's on, it's on, but when it's off it's terrible.

3rd at FNM EDH night.

Game one was a table of 6 people. Top 4 people from that table would go onto the winner's table.. The same person was randomly chosen 3 times in a row by Ruhan of the Fomori with Whispersilk Cloak FTL. After that, I made a deal to tap the board with Blinding Light with a player to kill everyone but me next turn so that I could go on to the final table.

Game 2 saw Ruhan equipped with pretty much everything. A Black Sun's Zenith made him a 0-2 for a while until some wheeling and dealing got Ruhan equipped with an Eldrazi Conscription. Then came the hate. It was a really fun game.

FNM - 4-1

Round 1 - (2-0 Win) It was against a modified haunted humans build. Didn't really need to sideboard at all in the second game, and I won it. Round 2 - (2-0 Win) It was a net decked RG Wolf run. I won the first match easily, and then after sideboarding the second match took a bit longer but I was able to keep him from ramping too fast and I eventually took it. Round 3 - (2-0 Win) This was a fun match, I played against a UB Zombies build. Basically I had Mirran Crusader come out both game with a few Honor of the Pures and there was nothing he could do. Round 4 - (2-0 Win) This match was a slight mirror. It was a net decked version of what I think he called Lingering spirits. It was an unfair win because both games he went down to five and drew into no land. Top 8 - (1-2 Loss) Lost against a UB control build. Only so much one can do against getting Black Sun's Zenith 8 times a match. Not much to say here other than Mana Leak,Dissipate, and the rest of the same stuff everyone knows about.

still in works and card suggestions would be great

After some testing I think the deck has major potential. I lost to a UW human deck, a delver deck, and a wolfrun aggro deck. I lost to wolf run aggro and UW humans due to some bad plays, and i lost to delver due to bad draws. But over all the deck is good. The deck has solid answers to most situations. I might have to tweak the sideboard a bit. Slow rolling is key to winning with this deck. Hasty moves can( and will) cost you the game. Mana management is also important when using mentor of the meek. most of the time you want to use the mentor trigger, sometimes you dont. Sometimes you want to leave mana open for a gavony township activation, or enough for a possible answer you can draw into with puresteel. I have more testing and more practice ahead of me. I will be reporting my finds.

Geralf's Messanger is a BEAST. Control has a hard time dealing with him, so I typically let him swing in and keep my hand full.

Undying Evil

Godzbreath, 13 years ago

Removed Trigon of Rage and replaced it with Undying Evil in order to better protect early threats from Gut Shot and Tragic Slips. Was not unimpressed at all, the switch was rather good overall. I know this means that I am slightly shifting away from an aggro plan, but it was necessary against the meta.

Big update 17/2 after playing standard tourney and went 0-4 :( This should work much better! Let me know what you think!

Update #4

The Messian, 13 years ago

Latest update, someone suggested Glint Hawk Idol for the deck. Not sure if they will work out but will want to try them and see.

I just went to my local fnm and played 4 rounds of swiss. My final record was 3-1 and I won (for the first time ever) 17.50$! I went up against solar flare, red black burn, bant hexproof (really original deck) and blue white spirits. I lost against solar flare even after siding in 2 nihil spell bombs. This is a great deck to play.

Doubling Spirits aims to maximize how many spirits you can create while controlling your opponents board as much as possible.

Check out what squirrelking98 did with my Sacrifice All Humans deck and Teysa, Orzhov Scion in his Teysa's Mill deck. It's pretty sick! Send some love his way (+1) and if you have a variant of this deck let me know and I'll post a link to it in the updates.

FNM Results

I hit FNM last night and wound up 4-0-1 I'll type up what I remember. First match was a white weenie: Game 1 I managed to get out a hell kite early, GFTT'ed her blocker and started blowing up permanents. Game 2 I got mana screwed for 1 turn too many and everything hit play late. Game 3 I got a decent amount of guys out but it took longer than it should have (didn't see a heartless at all, she got me to 3) and then she hits Day of Judgement as I start to take control of the board. I had a Tezz out though so I drew into a Hellkite and even manaed to get elbrus a turn later and it was all over. Match 2 was the ladys boyfriend playing a blue black control. We spent the 50 minute round playing 1 game. After many countered Wurms and him casting Wurmcoils and metamorphs he was on 54 and I on 18. I then got a Wurmcoil out and managed to copy it, eventually basically swapping our life totals (19, 53) at this point I had played almost every artifact in the deck and he was black sun's-ing everything when I managed to drop something (he had 4 in the deck) Eventually we went to turns and he hit me with a Blue sun's drawing me out. Funnily he only had GFTT for creature removal so he was holding a copy or 2 when I mnged to pop my Elbrus which sucked. Match 3 was a R G that I assume was wolf run. I got the right cards and ran him over before he could get it off. Game 2, I get a crap draw but stick with it in the hopes of drawing a heartless. I don't. Game 3, I get everything I didn't get last turn, as he drops the bomb that he's hoping will turn the game around for him I flashfreeze it and end the game quickly with a couple of hell kites. Match 4 I cannot remember in the slightest. I won 2-1 though. Match 5 was a tempered steel deck. First game I got owned by an early TS and a couple memnites and signal pests. I still managed to drop a hellkite and slow him a bit. I side in my artifact hate. Game 2 goes well despite the fact he gets 2 TS and drops me into the low 10's of life (12 I think) I drop a Hell kite and start blowing up permanents left right and center (starting with the annoying tempered steels), he scoops as I am about to drop Elbrus. Game 3 I have a slowish start and things look bad with me on 5, a tempered steel, 1 memnite, 2 signal pests and an etched champion in play. I manage to drop a Hellkite while I'm taking this damage though and swing through blowing up a couple permanents, I then metamorph my Hellkite and realizing I have control over the board again he scoops. In the end I came 8/44 and I was pretty damn pleased. The single elbrus while funny also works fairly well and given that I can drop him turns before they have anything to threaten him he's pretty nuts in the right matches.

Added Clarion Ultimatums and took out Sigil Blessings. Also replaced White Nights with Kabira Vindicators.
